Your beach vacation adventure begins as you enter through the gates of this five star resort on the gulf side off Emerald Coast Parkway.  The main drive is lined with towering Royal Palms along one of the golf fairways, which are dramatically up lighted at night for an awesome visual effect. The condominium towers can be seen in the near distance which sit right on the beach and provide an amazing architectural contrast to the expansive, lushly landscaped grounds.

As you enter Sandestin, almost immediately towards your right is Beachwalk Villas. This townhome community is aptly named since, as you might guess, it is a short walk from here to the sugar white beach. The residences at Beachwalk Villas, with creamy stucco siding and red clay tile roof tops, are reminiscent of old world villas you might find in Italy but with American amenities. They are situated around a pristine, four pronged coastal dune lake or lagoon with each residence facing the water. A lovely community pool overlooks the water for refreshment. The delightful, serene lake itself is filled with fish and the Great Blue Herons and Egrets who try to hunt them. You may try your luck with fishing as well but remember it is a “catch and release” policy at Sandestin. In order to satisfy your culinary desires you will find fresh fish and seafood are abundant elsewhere at nearby restaurants. Sandestin's main town center at Grand Boulevard and the charming Village of Baytowne Wharf on the resort are popular destinations. Besides fine restaurants there are also bars with live musical entertainment and lots of interesting shops and boutiques. Baytowne and Grand Boulevard are also wonderful places to take the kids. Dancing, interactive fountains provide fun frolic at Grand Park on Grand Boulevard in between Tommy Bahama's Restaurant and Cantina Laredo. Baytowne Village has an old fashioned carousel, bungee jumps, cross cable rides, bubble balls, remote controlled mini boats on the lagoon, pond putting and wind machines just to name a few. During the high season of Summer and during festive holidays you may enjoy frequent firework displays on both the gulf and bay side of this spectacular resort.

Beachwalk Villas 5060 is a two story townhome with two bedrooms and two and one half baths that sleeps up to six guests with use of the sleeper sofa. The cream colored leather furnishings, wicker and light wood dining set sits on a white tiled floor for a bright look. A mirrored wall enhances this look with glass doors at the end of the room which lead out to a private patio that has long views of the lake. The ample kitchen with a Breakfast Bar is adorned with palm tree wall paper to remind you that you are after all in Florida. The Master Suite has a king sized bed and private bath. The guest room has two comfortable twin sized beds and is nicely decorated.

Beachwalk Villas 5174 accommodates up to eight guests since it has two bedrooms and two baths with an additional bonus room which has extra beds in an open loft.  The main living area is decidedly contemporary with a soaring cathedral ceiling and comfortable furnishings. A nice kitchen has a long Breakfast Bar with granite counter tops and is open on two sides. The views of the lagoon are gorgeous and the private patio is the perfect spot to have a drink or watch the kids try to catch a big Bass. The Guest Bedroom is downstairs with twin beds and sunny views.
The Master Suite upstairs has a king sized bed with a private bath as well as the loft with twin beds for the kids or other guests.

Beachwalk Villas 5099 has three full bedrooms and two baths but is available at the same price value as one of the other two bedroom townhomes. A comfortable Master Bedroom Suite is on the first floor with a king sized bed and its own separate entrance via sliding glass doors to the lakeside patio. An adjacent Guest Bedroom on this level has a queen sized bed. They both share the same bathroom. The main living area has cathedral ceilings with glass doors that look out onto the lake. Cushioned wicker furnishings provide a homey feel. The dining area includes a rectangular glass topped table with six wrought iron chairs that are a pretty patina green in color. The white, bright kitchen has cream colored, corian counter tops with three high backed bar stools for extra seating.  The main Master Bedroom Suite with a king sized bed and private bath is upstairs and has a row of windows to enjoy the views. On the same floor here there s also an open loft which includes a sitting area and Day Bed.

A little further down (closer to the beach) on the eastern side of the row of Royal Palm trees across another long lagoon and the fairway is Tivoli Terrace. This townhome community can't be missed since the word Tivoli is emblazoned across the arched bridge that serves as its entrance.  Here we have Tivoli Terrace 5402 which is a three bedroom, three and one half bath vacation rental that sleeps six. Tivoli Terrace also has that romantic, old world look but is a little more formal in its styling. The interiors of this property are lavishly decorated with plush furnishings, high ceilings, triple crown molding and a columned fireplace. In fact decorative columns provide accents throughout the unit and large widows everywhere provide landscaped views. A dining table provides high backed chairs seating four and the kitchen has a wide, wrap around granite bar that's the mottled color of a chocolate malt shake. A patio outside provides the opportunity to dine el fresco when the weather is nice.  A Queen Bedroom with a private full bath is on the first level with glass doors that lead out to the patio. The Master Suite upstairs is very rich looking with a high, double tray ceiling and a gorgeous domed chandelier above the king sized bed. Two columns frame an arched opening nearby that accommodates a large sunny window. A Guest Suite with twin beds is also located on the second floor and is just as richly furnished as the Master Suite. Each suite has its own private bath. Tivoli Terrace also has a large private community pool available if you ever tire of swimming in the gulf. Both are within easy walking distance. In fact the beach is only one eighth of a mile away!
