Cape Monaco

Through the pergola and past the palms into the beachfront home Cape Monaco, where you enter a great room in the “Beachy Elegant” style-- parrots and palm trees meet European, American traditional furniture and a scattering of oriental rugs over variegated tile floors. It’s a marvelous mélange of styles; sink into comfy chairs with ottomans, a recliner, and a generous sectional sofa. Choose from a huge selection of movies after a great beach day or pick a family show on the large screen plasma television over the fireplace. DVD, Stereo, and CD players are at hand.

The kitchen is roomy, with granite countertops and its own table, and is well equipped for family dinners. Another more formal dining area lets you gaze at the beachfront views. A hall bath serves the great room and a king bedroom. A queen bedroom with flat screen TV/DVD has a private bath. The wide deck off the living room gives you a Gulf view from Seagrove Beach to downtown Destin. Stretch out on the cushioned chaises lounges. Only the pelicans have a better view!

The split-level second floor holds the large master suite; across the hall the fourth bedroom has two doubles, with private bath. All the bedrooms have flat screen TV’s and DVD players. Give those movies a good workout!

Just a few football fields away is The Whale’s Tail, where you can have a casual beachfront meal, then join a pick-up volleyball game. Across the street from Cape Monaco you can rent a scooter—pop over to Buster’s, two miles away, for a dozen oysters. You can stay busy, if you want, or simply put up the “Gone Swimmin’” sign…your call!
