The serene forested setting of this picturesque village is on a precious coastal dune lake beside the expansive award-winning Grayton Beach State Park and the open Gulf. Heavenly sunsets occur right over the Gulf this special time of year, and images of the magnificent skies are magically mirrored in the tranquil waters of the coastal dune lake. This unique festival, which features both fine wines and gourmet food, is sponsored by the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), which was originally established in 2005. This group has raised over $32,000,000 for reputable charities in the northwest Florida Panhandle with wine festivals and culinary events since its inception. It has established itself every year as being among "The Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions in the US," as reported in the highly respected Wine Spectator Magazine for over a decade.

The Harvest Wine & Food Festival will start on Thursday, October 17, at 6:00 pm with an array of area gourmet dinners with wine to choose from. Last year's Celebrity Winemaker Dinners included Alpha Omega Collective with Chef Craig Richards at 64 Vermillion Way, Domaine Della at Cuvee 30A, Lang & Reed at Fonville Press, Phifer Pavitt at Bijoux; Roy Estate at Seagar's Prime Steaks & Seafood, and Blackbird at Vin'tij Food & Wine.

Friday, October 18, will start at 4:00 pm with a Better Together Cocktail Seminar in Watercolor's lovely Crimson Park. This engaging seminar is being presented by Driftwood Wine & Spirits along with the team at Better Together Beverages, who will cover the history of spirits. Guests will learn how to make two custom craft cocktails while sampling tasty bites.

Harvest After Dark starts at 7:00 pm in the WaterColor Marina Park. This Al Fresco Reserve Tasting will take place in a setting that provides a lively yet pampered ambiance with a limited crowd. Guests will indulge in an evening of excellent wines with unique, unusual pairings of culinary delights crafted by talented chefs from around the southeast.

Saturday, October 19, features The Grand Tasting at Watercolor's Cerulean Park from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Seeing Red Wine Festival

Seeing Red Wine Festival

Thursday, November 7 thru Sunday, November 10

This renowned popular wine festival was acclaimed as "One of the Top 10 Can't Miss Fall Wine Festivals" in the country by Fodor's Travel. The exquisite setting is in the iconic coastal village of Seaside, which received international fame for its architectural pedestrian-friendly town design back in 1981. It features a golden Americana-styled village resembling a "seaside" town circa 1900. It served as the on-set location for "The Truman Show' with Jim Carrey and Laura Linney back in 1998, which is the #1 searched "reality" movie streaming today. Carrey plays a character whose entire life is filmed, unbeknownst to him, in a fake idyllic town and shown 24 hours a day on a highly popular so-called Reality TV show. This Gulf front village is centered around a large outdoor amphitheater with a lush lawn bordered by towering Royal Palm trees. It is almost completely surrounded by wonderful restaurants with friendly beach bars, outdoor cafes, fashion boutiques, specialty shops, and loads of galleries. The Seeing Red Wine Festival is spread out across the grounds, centered on the amphitheater, which will provide a stage for some great musical entertainment.

This opulent wine festival will feature live music, a myriad of fine wine tastings, and a wide array of delicious culinary fare created by local gourmet chefs over the course of four fun-filled days. Special separate events will include a Seeing Red Grand Wine Tasting, a special Vintner's Dinner, an Alfresco Reserve Wine Tasting, and a Sunday Social Brunch complete with champagne. Some of the best vineyards in the nation will be represented by pouring vine vintages into glasses at each event. The entertainment provided should be quite an affair since the 2023 wine festival featured a partnership presented by the Sinfonia Gulf Coast.

Sales for tickets to this future event have not been scheduled, but stay tuned since it will probably sell out fast. Tickets and details can be found at seasideseeingred.com
