When vacationing on 30A, discover wine made by mamas, for mamas. Cheers!
Hey Mama Wines is a female-owned wine company with a focus on creating a community around wine, while supporting moms and all communities of women. The wine industry can be intimidating and overwhelming—especially because the bigger players (predominately owned by men) don’t speak to women in a relatable way. There are also very few convenient wine options for on-the-go moms and women. And let’s be real, women are often on the go.
As a wine lover herself, founder and CEO Lauren Stokes recognized this as a problem. She wanted to approach wine in a way that is relatable, fun, and community-oriented. It was also important to Stokes to give back to women and mothers everywhere. The mother of three and Forbes 30 under 30 entrepreneur got to work to turn her idea into reality, launching Hey Mama Wines in late 2019. Not only does Hey Mama Wines offer delicious wine sourced from the highest quality grapes, but the company also donates 10% of all proceeds to charities and organizations that support women and children. With such a great vision, it’s no surprise Hey Mama Wines has seen impressive growth over the years.
Hey Mama Wines makes premium, low-carb canned and bottled wine. The Rosé Bubbly comes in an 8.4 oz can—great for mamas and women on the move. It’s also the perfect refreshing drink to take with you to the beach. With a delicate finish and flavors of watermelon and strawberry, the bubbly rosé is made from a blend of Syrah, Cab Sav, and Pinot Gris. Looking for something worthy of a celebration or special event? Maybe a beach wedding? Pop a bottle of the North Coast Sparkling Rosé. Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this rosé has strong strawberry notes and a hit of cream and spice.
You can order your wine online or find it in person at several locations across the Southeast, including Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, and Texas. 30A is a hotspot for Hey Mama Wines, with its rosé offered in four packs and on tap at many restaurants and bars along the scenic corridor. These include: Waterhouse Provisions in Seacrest Beach, Neat Bottle Shop in Alys Beach, The Hub (now called the Big Chill) in Watersound, Buddy’s Seafood Market in Seagrove Beach, and Modica Market and Amavida in Seaside, and more. In Grayton Beach, you can find the bubbly rosé at Grayton General Store, Crackings, Grayton Seafood Co., and Chiringo.
In addition to offering delicious bubbly and changing the perspective on wine, another important aspect of Hey Mama Wines is its focus on charitable giving. Since its inception, the company has donated to a variety of organizations that focus on women, mothers, and children. A few of these include: Emeril Lagasse Foundation, Empowering Her, Child Rescue Coalition, Baby2Baby, and many local charities along the Emerald Coast. If you know of a charity that could use a donation, let the company know! Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your suggestion and the subject line “Giving Back.” We love a company that supports women!
We also love that this mom- and women-centered business focuses on the demographic that makes up 60% of purchases in the wine industry. It just makes sense! If you, like us, want to support wine for mamas, be sure to check out their website. Or grab a bubbly when you’re here for vacation—because you moms deserve it! As the Hey Mama Wines slogan says, “You’re doing great mama!” Sip your wine, bask in paradise, and enjoy your 30A vacation.
We’ll see you at the beach!
