Hey Southern Living, come stay with us in Grayton Beach! We’ll host the graytest (pun intended) beach vacation you’ve ever experienced. With vacation rentals scattered throughout the historic beach town with a groovy soul, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the relaxed coastal atmosphere that everyone loves.
Recently, Southern Living came out with a terrific article titled Grayton Beach, Florida: What to Do in This Tiny Beach Town with a Groovy Soul. It was all about the beloved Grayton Beach on Scenic Highway 30A. As a funky, quirky, and all-around awesome beach town, it is no surprise that it is a top destination for tourists and a favorite hotspot for locals. The article personified this beach town in the best and most accurate way possible, saying “If a typical beach town is laid-back, then Grayton Beach is fully reclining – in a hammock, with an ice-cold margarita in hand.” Yep, that about sums up the free-spirited character of Grayton Beach!
The article went on to share where vacationers should stay, which restaurants to visit, and what to do when visiting this small town on the coveted Gulf Coast. From dining out at popular restaurants like Black Bear Bread Co. and Chiringo to shopping at the Zoo Gallery to paddleboarding across the glassy Western Lake, the article captured much of the magic of Grayton Beach.
Unfortunately, it missed an opportunity to let visitors know that there are incredible places to book vacation accommodations within the boundaries of Grayton Beach. *Gasp* Can it really be true? Yes, it can! To give credit, the Hibiscus Coffee & Guesthouse was featured (for good reason!), which is a lovely B&B in Grayton Beach that vacationers love. However, the article also urged guests to book their stay in the neighboring town at WaterColor Inn.
Now stop right there! While WaterColor is another beautiful beach town, if you are coming to 30A to hang out in Grayton Beach, why not actually stay in town?
Of course, we had to say something because we don’t want anyone to miss out on the awesomeness that is Grayton Beach! So, we are here to persuade everyone we can – including 30A newbies, return vacationers, and Southern Living – to book their South Walton vacation in the historic beach town that boasts a big personality and a laid-back vibe.
