Seacrest Beach is a meticulously planned residential community that gets its name from its location on Scenic 30A, high up on the "crest" of a sugary dune that overlooks the bright, beautiful "beach." Besides experiencing views of the gulf's glowing jeweled waters, sometimes you may even see pods of dolphins swimming off in the distance! This serene coastal village is adorned with palm trees, flowering shrubbery, and other lush tropical landscaping. The privileged setting is decidedly laid back with rows of towering palms along 30A and a white-washed wooden lifeguard tower labeled "Seacrest Beach" welcoming you to town.

This captivating residential enclave features homes and condominiums with enchanting golden Americana, classic Mediterranean, or contemporary designs. The interiors provide upscale, comfortable coastal, or charming cottage-styled settings. One to six-bedroom residences can accommodate between four to fourteen fortunate beach-going guests. Seacrest Beach is located both on the gulf and the interior north side of Scenic 30A, where one of our Ocean Reef Resorts offices is located. Some of the homes or condos on the beachside overlook the glorious gulf, and many have access to a private or community swimming pool.

Seacrest Beach North

The north side features mostly three-story homes with charming Americana-styled designs that include front porches and upper-level verandas. Rentals in Seacrest Beach North specifically are centered upon a tropical oasis that features a lavish community swimming pool that encompasses 12,000 square feet and is one of the largest in the entire state of Florida. It is surrounded by a virtual forest of Royal Palm trees and other lush landscaping. It is actually several interconnected pools on multiple levels with waterfall spillways at each end that flow down into the main pool. They form a right-angle design off each side that meet in the center, where a large raised circular pool is located and festooned with a big fountain in the middle. On hot summer days, children and adults enjoy frolicking underneath the refreshing spray that mists down from the fountain into the pool. The other pools offer separate kid and adult areas along with two designated lap pools available for avid swimmers. This serene paradise includes walkways, gardens, covered picnic pavilions, BBQ grills, bathroom facilities, and even a grassy lawn amphitheater that stages occasional concerts. If you ever desire to leave the pool, a convenient tram will take you to and from the beautiful beach in very little time.

Village of South Walton

The north side of Seacrest Beach also incorporates The Village of South Walton, which is a handsome European-styled complex complete with brick exteriors, classic balustrade rail balconies, and green awnings at street level. The four-story tall buildings host vacation rentals on the three upper floors, with commercial establishments on the first level. Most of the rentals have three bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six guests. Many overlook a half-moon grassy lawn area bordered by an array of cute individual shops selling specialty art, beach attire, and jewelry. Restaurants on-site include: "Lola Coastal Italian" with cheesy entrees and seafood; "LaCo" specializing in Mexican and unique seafood dishes; "Pizza by the Sea" with delicious family-friendly fare; "Seacrest Sundries" specializing in great breakfasts and luncheon sandwiches and "Small Cakes 30A" offering cupcakes along with ice cream. The Village of South Walton guests have access to their own swimming pools. One is a lovely lagoon-shaped pool with a lush tropical setting and expansive patio, while the other includes a large rectangular pool studded with palm trees.

Coastal Dune Lakes 30A

Besides the bright shimmering beach, this great locale is minutes away from two Coastal Dune Lakes off Scenic 30A, which are precious natural treasures. Such bodies of water are only found in four other places on the entire planet, including Australia, New Zealand, Madagascar, and the state of Oregon. These lovely exotic lakes include artisan spring-fed water and connect across dunes to the salted gulf through creek-like tributaries. Ongoing tidal action mixes the two waters together, creating a magical salted fresh water mixture that supports abundant wildlife, a wide variety of fish, and waterfowl. One of the most beautiful and accessible of these state parks is called Deer Lake, which encompasses 2,000 acres, and you can guess what it's named for! A raised walkway carries you across about a mile of sensational seascape all the way to the ancient dunes and beach. Along the way, you may look down upon scrub oaks, magnolias, cola-colored streams, and pristine cypress marshlands. The abundant ecosystem here includes deer and waterfowl year-round. Summer wildflowers are bountiful with Blue Lupine, Spoon Flowers, Asters, and Golden Rod, to name a few. Autumn heralds the arrival of colorful migratory Monarch butterflies. Just a short distance away is the other coastal dune lake called Camp Creek Lake Park, which was named for the Native American Creek Indians who originally camped here. This enormous forested lake spans almost seventy acres providing a popular place to go for kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, or fishing. Nature trails are also available for hiking adventures through pine and live oak forests, as well as various marshlands.

Rosemary Beach

This outstanding location is also less than a handful of minutes away from the absolutely charming Village of Rosemary Beach, which features a Dutch Colonial West Indies-inspired setting. It is an enchanting, picturesque pedestrian-friendly coastal village in its own wonderful world. This lovely village includes a nice assortment of fine restaurants, casual trendy bistros, art galleries, specialty shops, and fashion boutiques. They also host great outdoor concerts, art shows, fun festivals with old-fashioned family lawn games throughout the year, and colorful firework celebrations on special holidays.
