Looking for a fabulous luxury beachfront condominium on a world class resort?  If so, Westwinds at Sandestin Golf, Tennis and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach is the perfect choice for your family and friends. Your adventure begins as you enter the gates of this gorgeous 1,400 acre retreat that spans the waters from the Gulf of Mexico all the way to the Choctawhatchee Bay. The drive into the resort towards the Gulf is lined with towering Royal Palms which line the side next to one of four golf courses on the property. Lush landscaping and tranquil lagoons can be seen on all sides as you wind down and approach the luxurious towers that are right in front of you on the crystal white sandy shores of the beach. The palms are up lighted at night which creates a truly dazzling effect as it coincides with the shimmering condominiums in the distance.

Grand Boulevard Sandesitn

Sandestin is a unique, upscale, wonderful world of its own since it is the only resort on the Florida panhandle that spans across between two bodies of water. The beautiful bay towards the north is actually five miles across from the mainland and the gorgeous gulf flanks the other side with views of the jewel toned waters all the way to the southern horizon. You almost feel like you are on your own private island in this gated community of cottages, mansions and luxurious condominiums. Sandestin is a self contained resort, meaning that you don't need to go anywhere else for dining, entertainment and nightlife once you arrive. The Town Center off Emerald Coast Parkway features Grand Boulevard which is a sophisticated array of boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and bars. It is conveniently located next to a Publix Super Market for ease of shopping in case you want to create your own condo feast, get breakfast items, gather appetizers or obtain adult beverages. Here at Sandestin, a nuvoux version of New Orleans was completed just a few years ago called the Village of Baytowne Wharf. This charming village sits right on the bay and has a long wharf that juts out into the water, hence the name. Many visitors go there to try their luck fishing off this big dock or view the spectacular sunsets that occur there during the late Spring through early Fall. Since the sun sinks right into the Choctawhatchee Bay this time of year, the expansive, ethereal looking colors in the sunset can be seen not only from the heavenly sky but are often mirrored in the waters below. Baytowne is also home to the Sandestin Marina which harbors an impressive array of large yachts docked there.

The shops, restaurants and bars in Baytowne Wharf are completed in that New Orleans French Quarter look which adds to the creative charm. The entire village is pedestrian friendly with arching bridges that cross an adjacent lagoon. Baytowne offers lots of free musical entertainment, seasonal fireworks every week and a wide variety of amusements for the kids. It is the ultimate friend and family destination since it offers such a wide assortment of fun diversion for all ages.

Westwinds itself is a luxurious high rise condominium tower that is right on the beach. A long, lagoon shaped swimming pool sits amongst clusters of palm trees with vista views of the radiant emerald green gulf and the sparkling white sand beach. An expansive sun deck around the pool allows you to soak in the views, get a tan and have a frozen beverage from the nearby Tiki Bar while relaxing in this private paradise. The Tiki Bar also has snacks and munchies available in case you want a quick bite. A large bubbling Hot Tub next to a cascading waterfall is there as well to help soothe away the stress and help rejuvenate your spirit. The children can have their own version of rejuvenation as they play in the nice sized kiddie pool where adults can watch over them from partially shaded, columned arbors with the beach in the distance.  In case swimming, long walks and jogs along the beach are not enough, Westwinds also has a Fitness Center on site with aerobic machines as well as free weights.

Westwinds 4813 is a one bedroom, one bath property with multiple beach views from two balconies. The main balcony stretches parallel to the magnificent gulf extending from the main living area to the Master Bedroom Suite. A second bonus balcony is off the dining room with gorgeous coastline and inland resort views. Each balcony provides a nice private space, not only to relax and enjoy the views, but to also listen to the soothing sound of the surf, especially when the waves are high and the winds are from the south. Sliding glass door windows allow guests to enjoy these same views from almost every room due to the open design of the main living area. Parchment colored tile flooring flows from room to room along with high tray ceilings that accentuate the openness of the unit. Furnishings are light and comfortable with a tropical flair. The cream colored couch converts to a queen sized sleeper sofa that can sleep two, which is perfect for the kids. The dining area off the kitchen has an oblong glass topped table that can seat four and sits next to one of the balcony glass doors. The bright white angled kitchen can accommodate any meal. The comfortable Master Suite has a large king sized bed from which you can see the full views of the gulf across the balcony. What a great place to have that first cup of coffee in the morning while planning delightful day!

Westwinds 4718 is a two bedroom, two bath property that can sleep six since it also includes a queen sized sleeper sofa. The furnishings here are a charming eclectic mix of elegance, beach decor and a warm "down home" style. Salmon colored tile flooring accentuates the cozy surroundings. The dining area has an old fashioned, rectangular wooden table with four matching, straight backed chairs. A separate wooden table nearby has two more chairs and a built in checkerboard to use for playing games. The ample kitchen has an angled breakfast counter along with pastel colored cabinetry with a side by side refrigerator. The Master Bedroom Suite which is decorated in a kind of Florida nautical theme has individual access to its own balcony as well as a private bath. The balcony has views of the gulf above a plush grove of palm trees which provides a private romantic setting. The Guest Suite also has its own bath that has access from the bedroom as well as from the hallway. Both the Master and Guest Suite have big king sized beds.

Westwinds 4736 is also a two bedroom, two bath property that is located on the west corner of the building with sensational views of the lustrous southern waters. These views can be seen from above a virtual forest of palm trees that surround one of the swimming pools between the building and the gleaming gulf. Pastel jungle prints on the living area furniture are imprinted on a black background which give a chic contemporary, comfortable look. The sliding glass doors here allow you to view the aforementioned "palm forest", swimming pool and vista views of the gulf. An intimate, European styled, malt brown colored granite table seats four in fan backed metal cafe chairs near the convenient kitchen. The Master Bedroom Suite has floor to ceiling windows for views from a king sized bed with a white wooden headboard and matching cabinetry. The bedspread is decorated with a rich looking pattern of burgundy and gold. The Master Suite private bathroom is easily accessible. The Guest Suite has a king sized bed that is on a decorative metal framed headboard with muted natural colors. This sits on an angled wall with easy access to another bathroom that also serves as a powder room off the hallway. This vacation rental also has a queen sized sleeper sofa so it can accommodate up to six guests.

Be sure to check these out in the user friendly pictorial section of our website. Westwinds at Sandestin is a popular choice among many of our guests who have started a family tradition of visiting here. It is especially alluring during the "after season" since the sunsets in the Fall and early Spring actually sink into the gulf rather than the bay. This provides a truly romantic, serene time of year to visit Westwinds and rates are at their lowest points from October 27th through March 1st. As always, it is our great pleasure here at Ocean Reef Resorts to serve you and yours.
