Carillon Beach Vacation Rentals
Carillon Beach is a 104-acre resort community centered on a large lagoon, nestled in between the vast expanse of Lake Powell and the sugary white coastline of its own private beach. The shore here spans across 3,900 linear feet beside the jewel-toned Gulf. You have assuredly seen this precious piece of paradise if you have ever passed over the bridge into Bay County from the eastern end of South Walton near Scenic 30A. It crosses Lake Powell at this point, which happens to be one of the largest coastal dune lakes in the world. This sensational setting at Carillon Beach is hard to miss since it adjoins preserved natural forests, wetlands, and hammocks.
This coastal village was very carefully planned by New Orleans architect Lloyd Vogt who used the New Urbanism Village Design that was originally introduced by renowned Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company when they created Seaside. Like the internationally-famed Seaside original, Carillon Beach is a preplanned gracious enchanting golden Americana-styled pedestrian-friendly community. This wonderful world includes a Village Marketplace centered upon a serene fountain courtyard with a towering Bell Tower, specialty shops, restaurants, and bistros. There is a lush lawn Village Green for outdoor concerts and festivals. This resort also features three palatial swimming pools, tennis courts, a basketball court, and a playground for kids. Lake Carillon Park, with a long pier, borders the shore of the heart-shaped thirteen-acre lagoon, which may be fished on a catch and release basis. Many also enjoy viewing the waterfowl that frequent this large body of water via kayak or paddleboard. Lushly landscaped grounds with promenades include sculpture pavilions and eight columned pergola dune walkovers that provide gracious access to the beautiful beach. Million-dollar single-family homes and luxurious beachfront condominiums are available to lucky guests as vacation rentals.
