The Edgewater Beach in Destin is a wonderful world of its own and an architectural masterpiece. A luxurious hotel on the French Riviera inspired it and this American adaptation is impressive. The ship-like design is crescent-shaped and rises in step like fashion up to eighteen stories tall.

The gated resort grounds extend away from the building towards the sugar white beach with lush lawns accented by clusters of tropical palms. Two large lagoon-shaped sparkling swimming pools adjoin one another nestled against the curvature of the building on two levels. Both are beside the beautiful beach, providing a sensational setting. One has a refreshing waterfall while the other is seasonally heated and available for year round use. There is also a simmering adult hot tub and a kid's wading pool, so there is relaxing fun for everyone. A Tiki Bar and Grill allows you to dine poolside while enjoying your favorite tropical drinks. You may also create your own Surf n Turf delight since grills are also near the beach and pool. The 420 linear feet of sugary white beach provides panoramic views of the sun-splattered waters that spreads out in shimmering emerald hues. Edgewater also has basketball courts, shuffleboard, a miniature golf course, a children’s playground and a modern fitness center.

On the seventh floor, Edgewater 711 is a two bedroom, two bath vacation rental that can sleep up to six happy guests. This condo is decorated in a comfortable contemporary beach mode with lots of pleasing pastels that give it a nice nautical look. The light khaki couch accentuates rich creamy white tiled flooring and matching love seat that face a flat screen TV. Sliding glass doors lead out onto the breezy balcony that has lovely southeasterly beach views of the dazzling emerald toned gulf and two sparkling swimming pools. The open bright white kitchen features stainless steel appliances. A rectangular dining room table nearby has six colorful cushioned chairs. The Master Bedroom has a full bath en suite and a king size bed facing a flat screen TV as well as glass doors that provide balcony access and frame the beachfront scenery. The lovely Guest Room has two full size beds, a sunny window, a flat screen TV and easy access to a full hall bathroom.

Edgewater’s awesome Miramar Beach location places you close to popular beachfront restaurants with friendly bars as well as championship golf and tennis at Seascape, where Ocean Reef Resorts guests receive preferred rates. Grocery stores and the nation’s largest designer discount outlet known as Silver Sands are nearby. Family amusements, seasonal festivals, shops and other fine restaurants are minutes away at Baytowne Wharf and Grande Boulevard in Sandestin.

Tents and canopies are not allowed on the beach. Umbrellas can be rented through the onsite beach service.

Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated Christmas through February.
