You have arrived indeed at this wonderful Blue Mountain Beach family vacation retreat. Beautifully decorated and well appointed with all the 21st century modern amenities of home you will almost feel like you are in a movie star’s place overlooking the Pacific. However here you are looking down upon the warm emerald toned waters of the shimmering gulf with a wide ribbon of crystal white beach sand beside it. High cathedral ceilings in the main living area have walls of glass doors that lead out onto the open sun deck where you may enjoy these vivid views that extend as far as you can see into the sunny southern horizon. A wide flat panel TV sits at the far side of this room where you may enjoy simultaneous views of the gorgeous gulf while watching that “must see” college game. Two large full sized couches centered on a dormant fireplace allow you to relax comfortably as you relish these spacious surroundings. A glass topped table in the Great Room seats four adults in tall woven backed chairs in a corner with two sides of glass walls that look out towards the southeast. A “Kiddie Table” sits in the expansive kitchen that also features an island Breakfast Bar with more seating. The state of the art kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances handsomely accented with chic gleaming, mirror like black granite counter tops.

Each of the four bedrooms at Are We There Yet is comfortably furnished and three of them are actually Master Suites since each has a king sized bed along with a private bathroom. The fourth bedroom also has access to its own bathroom that doubles as a Powder Room off the main living area. Two of the three Master Suites have double glass doors that open right out onto the sun deck with dazzling views of the gulf. Here you may be lulled to sleep by the sound of the soothing surf or watch a romantic summer full moon shimmer across the water from own your big bed.

The location off Scenic 30A in Blue Mountain Beach [19] places you in a town noted for having the highest elevations on the Gulf of Mexico and is surrounded by thousands of acres of rolling State Forest. There are pristine coastal dune lakes nearby that parallel the shore which are found in very few other places in the world. The beach itself has been designated nationally as a “Blue Wave Beach” due to its beauty and cleanliness. The community of Blue Mountain Beach is more of a residential enclave than a real town and is somewhat Bohemian in makeup. It is home the area's oldest Health Food Store named For the Health of It offering a wide variety of organic locally grown food items, spices and special vitamins, aromatherapy, and a wonderful Juice Bar. There are a few unique restaurants that are quite popular, a bakery and even an old fashioned ice cream parlor. Are we there yet? Yes, you have arrived here in South Walton!
