Up to 14 lucky beachgoers may reside at this beautiful beachfront home. It is tucked away south of South Walton's Scenic 30A in Old Florida Beach with prominent placement atop a sugar white dune overlooking the sea. This charming gated residential community is in a wonderful world of its own, minutes away from popular restaurants, friendly beach bars, and specialty shops throughout Santa Rosa Beach. The lovely setting is studded with palm trees and other indigenous tropical plants. The home has lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy the breezy views. A porch spans across the front of this gracious property while a beachfront balcony and porches in the back provide spectacular views of the jewel-toned gulf. A walkover leads right from the back door across the dune and down to your own bright white shoreline where you can take a salty plunge. This neighborhood also has a community pool for freshwater entertainment and a dock for fishing, paddle boarding or kayaking on Draper Lake. These types of precious coastal dune lakes are extremely rare and found in very places around the world. Their magical mixture of salt and freshwater supports a huge abundance of wildlife.

Kokomo's open living area on the first floor includes a comfortable seating ensemble with a handsome dark chocolate colored leather couch, a matching love seat and creamy accent chairs facing a large TV for entertainment. A white dining table nearby has six decorative chairs. Five unique raised cushioned chairs with cream-colored woven palm frond backs sit beside an open wrap around butcher block topped bar beside the ample kitchen. Two Guest Bedrooms with twin queen-sized beds are located on the first floor and share a full hall bath.  One of them is finished in light nautical colors with seashell-patterned spreads in creams and blues. The other has serene latte toned colors and a door that leads out to a side deck.

Two additional charming cottage styled Guest Bedrooms are upstairs with queen sized beds, a shared full hall bath and individual access to the front balcony. The Master Bedroom Suite spans across the entire gulf side of the upper level with its own beachfront balcony. This exceedingly spacious suite includes a wall of windows highlighting the gulf views, a glass topped dining table with four seats, a king sized bed and couch, as well as a sleek dark granite topped Wet Bar with a refrigerator and icemaker. The private en-suite luxury bath features an attractive marble tiled walk-in shower and double vanities topped with gleaming black granite.  
    
This enchanting, seemingly remote location in Old Florida Beach is actually situated in the heart of the South Walton, close to places like Gulf Place, serving as the town center for Santa Rosa Beach. Restaurants, bistros, galleries, specialty shops, musical concerts at an outdoor amphitheater and seasonal festivals may be found here. This location is also about halfway between iconic Seaside and the Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin just minutes away.

First Floor: Living Room with Patio Access, Dining, Kitchen, Bedroom with Two Queen Beds, Hall Bath with Tub/Shower Combo, Bedroom with Two Queen Beds, Laundry.

Second Floor: King Master Suite with Balcony Access and Wet Bar + Walk-In Shower, Queen Bedroom with Balcony Access, Hall Bath with Tub/Shower Combo, Queen Bedroom with Balcony Access, Hall Bath with Tub/Shower Combo.

Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated during the fall and holiday weeks.

The use of golf carts are prohibited in the Old Florida Beach community.

Just wonderful!
Kokomo was amazing! The beach access was perfect and the house had everything we needed. There was few minor things that needed to be fixed and the house could use some fresh paint and updating , but overall the place was wonderful to stay . We will definitely be back again!

Great location for family beach trip!
This property had plenty of space for our family of 9 adults, 2 kids and 1 toddler. Beach was bit more crowded as the property is close to the public beach access, but there was no problem with this. The benefit is having a lifeguard close by as they patrol the public beach areas. We had a great time hiring a company to have a bonfire on the beach. The house has an entire bar area in the king bedroom upstairs (including Keurig; ice machine and wine fridge). Each bedroom had a TV with Direct TV cable. Driveway had enough parking for 4 cars. The neighborhood is lovely to walk around with a community pool. There is access to a small bay/pond area that connects to the ocean (for fishing, kayaks, etc.) The neighborhood is quiet. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, a crock pot, Instapot, blender. The grill uses propane but there is also a smaller charcoal grill there. Wifi worked well. There is a printer and space for office work in king bedroom.

Being that close to the lake are alligators seen in the community?

While it is possible that an alligator may live in the lake, no, there have never been any sightings or problems with them in the neighborhood.

We would love to rent a golf cart. Any places you would recommend?

The Homeowner's Association of Old Florida Beach prohibits the use of golf carts within the community. If you are interested in renting bicycles instead, as an Ocean Reef guest, you have exclusive access to discounted bike rentals through our Reef Rewards program! See you soon!
