Shangri-La at Grayton

New for 2024: Shangri-La at Grayton has new owners and a full-scale remodel will be underway mid-September – February. Stay tuned for the enhancements and new look! Shangri-La will keep the “Grayton Vibe” only with a fresh new look inside and out!

Shangri-La at Grayton has five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and is great for families and gatherings.  Less than a two-minute walk to The Red Bar and less than a three-minute walk to Grayton Beach, which was named one of the most beautiful beaches in America by Forbes Magazine! Lots of choices for fun and relaxation are just a stroll away. A little village dock looks out upon a rare precious coastal dune lake. These types of lakes are found hardly anywhere else in the world. Their magical composition of salted fresh water is created when dunes periodically open connection to the gulf's tides. This true treasure supports abundant wildlife. Besides going to the beautiful beach you may want to try catching some fish or go exploring the lovely lake by paddleboard.

The kitchen, dining and family room complete the first floor. This space is handsomely appointed and comfortably furnished with a leather couch, love seat and accent chairs facing a wide wall mounted TV. A rich hardwood table nearby provides a charming place for family meals with six spindle-backed side chairs flanked by leather bench seating at each end. The ample open kitchen includes lots of blonde hardwood cabinetry for treats and an open bar with four saddle-topped stools to enjoy savory appetizers or favorite drinks.

Each of the five bedrooms in Shangri-La at Grayton includes full ensuite bathrooms and TV’s with YouTube TV included. The first floor is accessible with an entry ramp and a screened front porch that spans the entire width of the house. The primary suite is on the first floor with a king-sized bed. The primary bath has an accessible walk-in shower, a tub-shower combination, and double vanity sinks. The four bedrooms upstairs include private ensuite baths. Three bedrooms have king-sized beds, while the fourth is a bunk room with three twin bunks.

You may enjoy exploring the charming, laid-back village of Grayton Beach to browse and buy some colorful decorative art or jewelry at The Zoo Gallery. The famous Red Bar is directly across the street which provides excellent dining, favorite drinks with live music and a place where celebrities are sometimes seen. Chiringo is another place nearby that features Spanish style food with tapas and tropical drinks. Many picture-perfect South Walton villages along Scenic 30A are just minutes away with a wide array of restaurants, friendly beach bars, specialty boutiques, free musical concerts and fun festivals throughout the year.
