Take a "splash" at this aptly named beach house that is just steps away from the glittering waters of the jewel-toned gulf. It sits upon a sugary perch that provides panoramic views of the bright white beach at the far western end of Scenic 30A in Dune Allen Beach.

Splash is a three bedroom vacation home that can accommodate eight happy beach-going guests. The first-floor beach level uses an open design concept that includes the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The house décor has a charming, comfortable cottage look that combines beach chic with fashionable mid 20th-century vintage furnishings. Ten turquoise modern vinyl chairs surround a long rectangular table next to an open kitchen. The kitchen has gleaming stainless steel appliances and a richly tiled accent wall beside a long counter. A comfortable couch and retro styled accent chairs nearby face the wall of floor to ceiling glass doors looking out onto the glittering gulf. They lead out to the beachfront balcony that spans the width of the house and provides a great place to watch the waves and view the sparkling scenery. Stairs lead right down to the beach, and a full bath on this level provides a convenient dressing room for use before or after swimming in the gulf.

The three bedrooms are all located upstairs, and each one of them includes a full private bath en suite. Each one of them is also fully accessible to a shared gulf front balcony to experience a heavenly sunset right over the water from late fall till early spring or catch a magical full moon during the summer months. Screen doors may be opened on a nice night allowing you to allow the soothing surf sounds lull you to sleep.

Dune Allen Beach itself borders the vast expanse of Topsail State Park, where you can walk for miles along the serene, isolated beach and past towering dunes that run along the shore. The pristine preserved seascape is sensational. Two favorite restaurants are very close by. The Vue on 30A features Floridian as well as Caribbean styled seafood and offers superb views to the beach below. It is part of the established Santa Rosa Beach Club, which features an 18 hole golf course that has been described by Golf Magazine as "the purest golf on the Florida panhandle." Another popular restaurant is called Stinky's Fish Camp. Despite the whimsically unusual name, this rustic looking place serves fresh seafood, specializes in locally caught fish and includes an impressive wine list. Other restaurants, bistros, galleries, seasonal festivals, and amusements are featured nearby at Gulf Place, which includes an amphitheater for outdoor concerts. Dune Allen is a gateway to other picturesque coastal villages along South Walton's Scenic 30A and minutes away from Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin, so you have a wide array of choices for dining, drinking and having fun.
