Anchor Pointe is a gracious five-bedroom beach view vacation home that may happily "harbor" 14 fortunate guests in the highly sought after residential community of Crystal Shores. This premier Destin location on Scenic 98 places you a short stroll away from convenient beach access and close to popular gulf front restaurants with friendly beach bars.

Completed in crisp white and light blue trim, as soon as you arrive at this lovely home you are captivated by its warm charm and nautical appeal. A columned wraparound veranda spans across the back with a separate Guest House beside it. This veranda also overlooks a private pool that can be seasonally heated. A grill on the sundeck and table with chairs can provide a poolside dining experience. Another furnished veranda out back overlooks a lush tropical setting out towards the Gulf of Mexico, where you may enjoy the tranquil breezes. The main open living area easily incorporates the dining, kitchen, and family space. Comfortable furnishings include a tan couch with a built-in ottoman centered upon a wall-mounted TV flanked by handsome built-in shelving. Wooden benches and two straw chairs sit around a country dining table, and six raised bar chairs beside the kitchen allow everyone plenty of space to enjoy a fun family feast.

The Guest Bedrooms in the main house include king-sized beds in two of them with en suite luxury baths. A room for the kids contains two twin bunks and access to another bath. The spacious Master Suite on the top floor has a Wet Bar, an en suite luxury bath, and a king-sized bed that faces a private balcony with palm tree topped views of the gorgeous Gulf.

The Guest House has a comfortably furnished living/dining area with a kitchenette, a bedroom with a king-sized bed, a bunk room, and a full hall bath. A Game Room downstairs off the pool has a Ping Pong and Foosball Tables as well as a long couch facing a wall-mounted TV for entertainment.

This excellent location is very close to grocery stores along with retail specialty stores at Destin Commons, Paradise Key Shopping Center, and the Shops at Paradise Isle. There are also an abundant array of nationally known restaurants and bars with over two dozen choices.

Crystal Beach also has three locally-owned restaurants right on Scenic Gulf, and two of them are within easy walking distance. They are 790 on the Gulf that features Cajun-inspired dishes served with "southern Louisiana hospitality" and Camille's which is known for having great Italian food, pizzas and even sushi. The Beach Walk Cafe is also nearby, which serves up award-winning gourmet seafood and landlubber entrees with special sauces that are heavenly. This place is quite beguiling since it overlooks the Gulf and has panoramic views of dazzling sunsets across beach dunes. This locale is also centered between Destin and Miramar Beach, placing you minutes away from bustling activities along with abundant amusements at both.

First Floor: Living Room with Queen Sleeper Sofa and Patio Access, Kitchen, Dining, King Bedroom with Twin Sleeper Sofa + Walk-In Shower with Soaking Tub and Patio Access, Powder Room, Laundry.

Second Floor: King Bedroom with Balcony Access, Bedroom with Two Twin Bunks, Hall Bath with Tub/Shower Combo.

Third Floor: King Master Suite with Wet Bar and Walk-In Shower + Balcony Access.

Guest House:

First Floor: Garage with Ping Pong Table and Foosball.

Second Floor: Living Room with Full/Twin Bunk and Queen Sleeper Sofa, Kitchenette, King Bedroom, Hall Bath with Walk-In Shower.

*Add $50.00 per day to heat pool (available Oct-April if needed)

Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated during the week of Thanksgiving.

Family vaca

We had a great time. Got in plenty off pool and beach time. The carriage house served as office space when needed. And the bedrooms were quiet for nap time. There are so many exterior doors that can be opened by 3 and four year olds. Could use some out of reach interior locks. Pool was well secured with locked gates. Property mgt. was great with service!

Clean and beautifully decorated!

This was my first experience with Ocean Reef and I hope to be able to again! They were so incredibly easy to work with friendly and accommodating. The house in Crystal Beach, Destin, was clean and beautifully decorated. Very inviting. The kitchen was well stocked. It heals 3 coffee pots! We had plenty of towels and blankets. The automated texts were great to keep me reminded of trash pick ups. The interactions that I had by phone and email were very pleasant. The website it awesome! The pictures are beautiful and are spot on. The house is exactly as pictured. Very smooth rental! Thank you Ocean Reef!

We especially love the small touches the ocean ocean reef left throughout the house. The beach bag that was left in the main house and the guest house that my daughters family and my family both used all week because we forgot to pack one came in handy! We love the travel size shampoo and soaps left in the bathroom and the Coozies(?) that did not go to waste!

Excellent stay at the beach!

We had the best time. Said it slept 14 and it did - SO comfortably! Plenty of bedding and towels too. Only had to walk across the street to the beach. We stayed in Nov & it was chilly. We should have had them heat the pool a day before our arrival. We were blown away by the actual place as it was more than we expected from the listing. Beautiful furnishings and decor. A balcony off every floor (3). The beds were SO comfortable too! We couldn't have asked for more. Ocean Reef properties is great to work with and Anchor Pointe was a great place to stay! Everyone had a great time! And checkout was the easiest I've ever had! Thanks for a wonderful and memorable stay!

How far is the closest beach access?

Answer:

The closest beach access is only about a 1-2 minute walk from Anchor Pointe. It is right across Scenic Highway 98 just to the west at the intersection of Hutchinson Street and Scenic 98. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Beach chairs and umbrellas are not provided complimentary, but are most certainly available for rent. Once you have secured your reservation, we will provide you with the beach services contact information. The beach access is located at the end of Gulf Beach Drive, less than a two-minute walk from the home.

Are beach towels and paper good provided?

Answer:

We provide linens and sheets for the beds, bath towels, and washcloths. You will want to bring your own beach towels, as we do not provide them. Our properties are furnished with enough disposable goods to get you started; this includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet tissue, dishwashing detergent, and bar soap. Our kitchens feature the basic necessities, such as a k-cup coffee maker, toaster, blender, silverware, and dishes. You may also want to pack hair dryers, additional disposable goods, and specialty kitchen items such as spices, aluminum foil, sandwich bags, etc.
