The first-floor columned corner front porch and open balcony above have exceptional views of the Gulf of Mexico and Western Lake, a rare coastal dune lake found in very few places around the globe. They have a magical composition, created when dunes periodically open and close their freshwater estuary connection to the saltwater. The natural beauty of such lakes is a treasure since it supports a vast abundance of native wildlife, flora, and fauna. A pathway runs beside this home to the inlet on the way to the beach. Besides splashing around in the jeweled waters of the sensational surf, you might want to try your luck catching some fish. Here you can go paddleboarding or take a kayak out on the serene lake to enjoy the wildlife all around you. This rental home is in the exclusive residential enclave of Cottage Street, featuring a community pool where you may also take a dip before or after going to the white sand beach.

The first floor of Down By the Sea has an open Great Room encompassing the living, dining, and kitchen portions of this vacation destination. Light hardwood flooring flows throughout the room with a rustic beamed ceiling above. A cream-colored wraparound couch and a white sleeper sofa provide a comfortable seating ensemble. They face the gorgeous gulf views framed by glass doors leading out to a deck, as well as a flatscreen TV perched upon a unique easel. Twin accent chairs beside it in a sunny window alcove are tropically inspired with the use of slipcovers and provide additional seating. A custom-built white cabinet nearby serves as a great bar for entertainment. Nearby a hardwood table includes eight criss-cross backed chairs that sit beneath an Edison Bulb chandelier to inspire the enjoyment of a coastally inspired feast. The updated gourmet kitchen features a large Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator with a cabinet freezer below, a stand-alone ice maker, and a unique marble-topped bar with four seats.

A Guest Bedroom downstairs has the use of a full bath that doubles as a powder room and can serve as a slumber room with a queen and full bed as well as a Smart TV. All three bedrooms upstairs are comfortably appointed with Smart TVs, Netflix, DVRs, king-sized beds, and en-suite baths. One of these king suites also comes furnished with a twin day and twin trundle. The spacious Master Suite has French doors leading to the upstairs balcony and view of the gulf. For entertaining, the upper balcony can also be accessed via hallway outside of the other upstairs guest bedrooms.

This South Walton location is an easy stroll away from galleries, restaurants, and friendly popular beach bars with live entertainment in the heart of Grayton Beach. Shopping, dining and drinking establishments, as well as outdoor musical concerts and seasonal festivals, are found all along Scenic 30A in numerous picturesque coastal villages.
