Sleeping eight carefree beach-going guests, this charming two-bedroom vacation rental at Emerald Dunes has a convenient location right in the heart of Crystal Beach. This low-density beachfront residential building gives guests an air of privileged living space. Emerald Dunes sits high upon sugary "dunes" above the bright crystalline beach and features panoramic views of the "emerald" toned gulf that extend as far as one can see into the glittering southern horizon.

Emerald Dunes 205 takes full advantage of these jeweled vistas with a unique open concept plan that features a spacious alcove for the living area with a wide window. The adjacent dining area sits next to sliding glass balcony doors and another side window that also frames the sparkling seascape. Comfortable outdoor furniture on the beachfront balcony beckons you to experience the scenery and listen to the sensual surf sounds while enjoying your favorite tropical drinks with savory snacks. The living area includes a pale blue couch, loveseat, and a large white armchair for comfortable seating around a beautiful custom-made hardwood coffee table. A 65" wall-mounted flatscreen TV, with a sound bar, provides theater quality entertainment. The dining area has a large country-styled rectangular table with ample seating for six. The open kitchen features white cabinets, brushed stainless steel appliances, and a white Carrera Morro quartz countertop with four wooden stools where appetizers, beverages, or a fun buffet meal may be easily served.

The Master Bedroom includes a king-sized bed and 75" flatscreen TV next to a sunny window, along with an ensuite bath with double vanities and a tub shower combination. The elegant Guest bedroom also has a king-sized bed, 55" flatscreen TV, and a sunny window with access to a full hall bath. There is also a Bunk Nook tucked off the hallway with two twin beds.

Excellent amenities at Emerald Dunes include the bright, beautiful private beach and a swimming pool with a sun patio in the front of the building near grounds with clusters of tropical palm trees. The pool is heated during the chilly times of the year, while a bubbling hot tub provides pampered relaxation whenever you may desire to use it. A community grill area is also on the beachside, which may tempt you to create a fun 'Surf n Turf' meal while the salty air stimulates your appetite.

This central Destin locale in the popular Crystal Beach neighborhood is conveniently close to grocery stores,  wine shops, and restaurants.  Four locally-owned dining establishments with excellent food are nearby overlooking the jewel-toned gulf, including The Crab Trap, Camille's, and 790 on the Gulf. Sensational shopping adventures at Destin Commons, Paradise Key as well as the City Market are also close by. Destin Commons is the most popular since it features an idyllic shopping experience with palm-lined pedestrian-friendly avenues with fountains where you may stroll around shopping at fashion boutiques, fine clothiers, and specialty shops. Restaurants, bars, and an AMC Multiplex Theater are also located there. The famous Silver Sands Premium Outlets, which is one of the largest designer discount centers in the nation, is just minutes away in Miramar Beach, offering tremendous bargains on world-class goods.

Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated during Thanksgiving week and March through April.

*Emerald Dunes is a smoke free environment with smoking and chewing tobacco prohibited in all common areas, including the beach, walkways, pools spa, and pool decks, as well as on the balconies.

Updated. Clean. Perfect Stay.
We had a wonderful stay! The property has a beautiful beach view that made every morning feel special. The home was extremely clean, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking. Ocean Reef was responsive and made the stay very comfortable. Wonderful stay!
We stayed at Emerald Dunes in June for the third time, because it is our favorite place to stay in the 35 years we’ve been going to Destin! The unit was pretty, updated and clean, and the views of the beach from the many windows are beautiful! This section of the beach is private and less crowded, and our granddaughter enjoyed the pool. We are planning our next trip for the fall!

Perfect!
Great week in this condo. Great location. Had a few maintenance & housekeeping issues but were taken care of as quick as possible. The view is super & the entire unit is decorated nicely. Recommend it for 2 couples. Wish it had complimentary beach chairs as most condos offer this perk these days.

We've been coming to the Crystal Beach area of Destin for more than a decade and have stayed in several different rentals up and down the beach.
Emerald Dunes Unit 205 is our new favorite! Exquisitely decorated, super comfy and great views of the beach. The way Ocean Reef handles rental and check in/check out should be the standard for all other rental companies. Emails and texts were minimal and efficient and gave us all the info we needed. We had to make a maintenance request (we had inadvertently turned off the refrigerator.) Your team was responsive after hours, got us a loaner fridge until maintenance came the next day, and then "fixed" our problem in the morning, without making us feel foolish (even though it was TOTALLY our fault!) Five stars for everything and I will highly recommend Ocean Reef to my friends and colleagues -- all except Unit 205, which we will keep to ourselves! Thank you for a great vacation!

Incredible view and great location
We have been to Destin MULTIPLE times and this was our first time staying eighth on the beach. The views, tranquility, location to grocery was perfect. We had other family staying at a home two blocks away and had a great pool and backyard. It was nice to have that option and was great when we were on the beach that they could run up and use the restroom or get food in this beautiful condo!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Awesome time and place!
Our stay was great! Excellent communication from booking several months out all the way through the vacation. Condo is in my opinion the best spot, beach front side of building near beach access and quiet. We are getting close to booking next years trip and looking to stay here again!

Can you have canopys on the beach?

Tents and/or canopies are permitted as long as they do not impede the beach service. Tents and canopies must be set up on the northern (back) side of the beach. All tents and canopies must be checked in with the beach attendant to be tagged.

Is there an elevator? What floor is this unit on?

Emerald Dunes is a five-story low-rise condo complex that does include a community elevator. Emerald Dunes 205 is located on the second-floor, offering phenomenal gulf views and quick access to the beach.

As a valued guest, you can anticipate a clean environment every time you come to enjoy the beach with our company. We have implemented heightened cleaning procedures in our properties as recommended by the CDC. In addition to our ongoing rigorous cleaning standards, increased focus has been directed to cleansing high-touch point areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, handrails, remotes, and doorknobs. Our kitchens feature the basic necessities, such as a k-cup coffee maker, toaster, blender, silverware, and dishes. You will want to pack specialty kitchen items such as a crockpot, spices, aluminum foil, sandwich bags, etc. An iron is also provided to ensure your vacation is "wrinkle-free!"

Does Emerald Dunes 205 have a washer and dryer?
