Description

Tipsy Marlin is a charming two-bedroom 30A beach house with two southern-style porches stacked atop one another and a wide driveway of stone pavers. Situated in South Walton's Blue Mountain Beach, it is one of the best-kept secrets on the Emerald Coast. It's quietly tucked away within the quaint local beach community. This rental home is just steps from Scenic 30A, the Gulf of Mexico, and a couple of blocks west of Draper Lake. It's the perfect spot for your whole family to get away; it's a pet-friendly home so be sure to bring Fido along!

Coming in through the grand front entranceway of Tipsy Marlin, you are immediately greeted by the large open living room, dining room, and kitchen. Inside, the esthetic is bright and white; rooms are flooded with natural light, and the decor is beach casual with simple, comfortable furniture offering plenty of space to stretch out, relax and interact with fellow beachgoers. The kitchen is spacious with all the conveniences of home and perfect for the household chef(s). This first floor is super comfortable and doubles as a third bedroom with its fluffy queen sleeper sofa and a full bath with a walk-in shower.

Upstairs the bedrooms make good use of clean white spaces that, in turn, play well off of the hardwood floors. Here you'll enjoy balcony access off the primary bedroom with a king-size bed. Across the hall, you'll find a second quaint queen bedroom adjacent and a hall bath with a tub-shower combination. A Pack-N-Play and highchair are also provided for the little ones (linens not provided).

Out back, you can grill up the fresh Gulf fish you just caught, local shrimp, or a steak, your choice; the patio is the right place to chill and reflect on your days at the beach.

Blue Mountain Beach is fast becoming the "go-to" destination on 30A, with great options for paddleboarding, e-bike rentals, and some of 30A's best restaurants, like Redfish Taco, Blue Mabel, and Cowgirl Kitchen. Not to mention neighboring Destin is just a quick car ride away. You'll enjoy your beach time spent at the Tipsy Marlin!

Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We stayed for two weeks and are already planning to return for a month in the future. Quiet neighborhood, walkable to blue mountain beach (perfect for when parking is tight) and easy drive everywhere in Santa Rosa. Restaurants, gas station, shops and bakery are all nearby. The house is in a great location in the neighborhood. Quiet, well kept grounds with a little grassy area in the back (unfenced). The provided wagon is helpful for carrying things like beach gear to the car or further. So grateful we could bring our furry family members with us!

Beach Retreat
Cute Florida cottage minutes from the beach and great restaurants. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and had everything we needed. The golf cart is also a great addition! We will definitely be back.

How far is the beach?

The nearest beach access point is located at the Blue Mountain Regional Beach Access at 2365 S Scenic Hwy 83. Another access is Gulfview Heights Regional Beach Access at 186 Gulfview Heights St where more parking is available.

Great question - It looks like you did your homework! At one point, Tipsy Marlin did include a golf cart, however, it no longer does. But not to worry! You can still rent a golf cart at a discounted rate here. See you on the shore soon!
