Sweaty Palms

It adjoins Grayton Beach State Park, which was named one of the most beautiful beaches in America by Forbes Magazine. Besides the white sand shore, Grayton Beach also has a little village dock that overlooks Western Lake. Rare coastal dune lakes like this one are precious as they are found in very few other places around the world. They have a magical watery composition created when the dunes open their fresh water connection to the gulf. This estuary is a natural treasure, supporting a huge abundance of wildlife. You may go from splashing around in the surf to trying your luck fishing or paddle boarding.

A magnolia tree and a big palm tree adorn the front of a screened porch that spans across the front of Sweaty Palms while soaring live oak trees provide shade on the sides. The porch has Adirondack chairs and a picnic table that invites you to enjoy a tasty meal or your favorite drinks while relaxing. An open sun deck wraps around the home with access from the kitchen and Master Bedroom. A charming pergola provides partial shade while an umbrella table, chairs, and a grill inspire you to have a cookout. This deck overlooks a large grassy lawn where the kids can play. It will be perfect for a round of badminton, volleyball or croquet if you bring a set with you. The charming living room faces a counter bar with three raise seats and the open kitchen with plenty of cabinetry to hold all your tasty treats. A cream colored couch and two richly woven wicker chairs are cushioned to provide a nice seating ensemble. Oil paintings of seascapes and colorful art throughout provide a cheerful beach flair.

The Master Bedroom has a lovely queen-sized bed beneath a painting of the white sugary beach. This room has a bright wall of windows and a glass door that leads to the sun deck. The Guest Bedroom has pictorial scenes of happy families at the beach and two nice twin beds centered upon a sunny window. Both bedrooms share a full hall bath.  

This fantastic Grayton Beach location is close to Chiringo, featuring Spanish tapas and cold drinks and the famous Red Bar for great dining, your favorite adult beverages, and live music. The colorful Zoo Gallery is across the street. A wide array of restaurants, beach bars, specialty shops, concerts and seasonal festivals are just minutes away in the picturesque coastal villages of South Walton.
