Beachside Villas boasts an awesome location half way between Eastern and Deer Lake. These exotic coastal dune lakes border the bright beach overlooking the jewel toned waters of the gulf. They are precious natural treasures that are found hardly anywhere else in the world. Creek-like estuaries connect artisan spring fed waters across sugary dunes into the gulf. Changing tides create a special salted fresh water mixture which provides an abundant habitat for wildlife and fish. Both lakes are right down the beautiful beach so besides splashing around in the surf you may fish and explore the lakes via paddleboard or kayak. Deer Lake is part of a 2,000 acre state park with a raised walkway that can carry you across about a mile of scrub oaks, magnolias, creeks and cypress marshlands from the beach over to Scenic 30A. This vast ecosystem supports deer and water fowl year round with colorful migratory butterflies in the fall. Bountiful summer wildflowers include Blue Lupine, Spoon Flowers, Asters and Golden Rod.
