This recently completed two-story vacation home on 30A includes four bedrooms and accommodations for ten beach-seeking guests. It is only a short stroll away from the bright sugary shoreline overlooking the jewel-toned gulf that has made South Walton world famous. Located in Gulf Place Retreat, this charming neighborhood is near the highly acclaimed Santa Rosa Beach village center of Gulf Place. Here guests can enjoy fantastic restaurants, shopping destinations, and other amusements. An additional perk is a refreshing 16.5'x10.5' private pool for guests to enjoy before or after luxuriating in the glistening gulf waters.

Stella Maris has a stately front porch leading to an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area. It features plush comfortable furnishings, gleaming molasses-toned hardwood tile flooring, and lots of windows for a bright sunny look. The living area includes a dove gray tufted-cloth wraparound couch flanked by two regal royal blue contemporary armchairs. They are gathered around a white circular cocktail table and face a large flatscreen TV mounted above a creamy glass front cabinet for entertainment. The nearby dining area includes a thick multi-toned hardwood plank topped table beneath a pewter white sconce chandelier. There are six elegant high-backed tufted cloth chairs and a hardwood bench at the end for eight charmed diners. The open kitchen features rich chocolate-colored cabinetry and brushed stainless steel appliances, including a French-styled top-bottom refrigerator freezer. A long misty veined marble-topped island serves as a place to enjoy favorite drinks, tasty appetizers, or fun buffet-style meals. It includes a mix of comfortable square-topped chocolate-toned leather stools and chic white bar chairs that can entertain eight. A glass door leads outside to the covered poolside patio with extra seating. A half bath serves as a convenient powder room.

The master bedroom is located on the first floor with a luxury ensuite bath. These quarters include a king-sized bed with a sway-backed rich hardwood frame and cannonball posts. It faces a large flatscreen TV mounted above a handsome dark hardwood dresser for nighttime viewing pleasure. The luxurious private bath includes two vanity sinks on a marble-topped cabinet and a contemporary tub shower combination lavished with striking white marble tiled walls.

The three guest bedrooms are upstairs, which also include private ensuite baths. Two of them feature king-sized beds with an attached walk-in shower, while the third has a unique murphy bed and a tub shower combination. These bedrooms include white contemporary coastal-style furnishings and wall-mounted flatscreen TVs for evening entertainment.

This wonderful Santa Rosa Beach locale is close to the Gulf Place village center with delightful retail shops and restaurants. They wrap around an expansive two-acre grassy lawn amphitheater with accommodations for 3,000 music lovers. This royal palm-lined amphitheater serves as a focal point for live concerts, art and wine shows, and fun festivals throughout the year. During the summer, colorful mini hut shops spring up around the grounds showcasing watercolors, oil paintings, folk art, pottery, jewelry, glass mosaics, photography, and beach-inspired clothing. These tropical grounds sit beside some great local restaurants, casual bars, boutiques, specialty shops, galleries, a coffee shop, and a salon. The Gulf Place village center was recently named one of the top five favorite towns in the nation by Travel & Leisure Magazine.

Family Wedding on the beach

Beautiful & Close to the Beach

This house is perfect for anyone traveling to “Destin” with a family or group. It is very big and spacious and new! You do not have to worry about anything being outdated here! It is in true walking distance to the beach. We were a party of 10 with 3 kids and we all walked back and forth to the beach with the bag of sand toys that they provided. The beach was gorgeous! And despite you entering through a public beach access, it was not crowded, just the perfect amount of visitors to give you space to relax and play on the beach. Our family planned to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner at the house and let me tell you, the home was fully equipped with everything you need to cook which made life so much easier. If you don’t plan on cooking you will be in walking distance to various restaurants/bars. We did communicate with the property manager once and they were prompt to respond. We are all very happy with this home and definitely plan on returning!

Easy walk to beach!

The pool is a bit small but such a nice perk and only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach. I also loved that the state forest trails were very close to the house. Took several runs through the woods, it was lovely on a hot day.

Is there beach equipment that comes with the house?

Answer:

It is always possible that the owner has supplied beach equipment or previous guests have left some behind; however, due to the high volume of visitors, things can inevitably be broken, misplaced, or lost. Since we cannot guarantee these items will be present, it is always safest to pack your own or rent them when you arrive. See you soon!

Can we bring our 5 lb Maltese?

We love our dogs here at Ocean Reef, however - Stella Maris is not a pet-friendly property. If you are unable to board your pup, you may want to consider one of these Pet Friendly Rentals.

What kind of coffee maker is in the house?
