Breezy and beautiful are two appropriate words describing a balcony overlooking the gorgeous emerald green waters of the glistening gulf. Many of our Ocean Reef Resorts guests spend a lot of time on their balcony when staying at one of our awesome beachfront vacation rentals. Besides sensational scenery you are able to feel lovely gulf breezes and often hear the soothing surf. When you find a really big balcony you may add bodacious and even beloved to the description. Balconies provide a wonderful place to enjoy the vivid views, breath in the salty air, sip on favorite drinks, relish savory snacks and have a great time sharing "the good life".

We have three big balconies at luxury condominiums available in Destin's Miramar Beach that may take your breath away since they're located at the architectural masterpiece known as Edgewater. This resort is indeed at the edge of water on a sugar white crystalline beach overlooking the dazzling jewel toned gulf. Edgewater actually looks anchored there since the crescent curvature and stepped up balconies on each level resemble a giant luxury cruise liner "docked" on one of the most beautiful beaches along the Emerald Coast. This monumental landmark got inspiration for its design from a hotel on the French Riviera. Edgewater's design raises up step like at each level going from three stories to nineteen stories in height. At the end of each tier are the aforementioned giant terraced beachfront balconies. They look across the gorgeous gulf and down upon the resort grounds with lush lawns adorned with islands of clustered tropical palms. Shimmering swimming pools sit side by side resembling large lovely lagoons. Both sit beside the beach so you can enjoy fresh water action and a minute later be luxuriating in the glowing luminescent gulf. One pool has a refreshing waterfall which is particularly wonderful on a hot sunny day while the other is heated for use during cooler months. A graceful arc of lounge chairs surrounds the pools pointed towards the sun. There's also an adult hot tub, a kid's wading pool, a playground, a fitness center, shuffle board, a miniature golf course and basketball courts available. Tasty frozen cocktails and fresh seafood are served at the Tiki Bar and Grill conveniently located next to one of the pools beside the beach.

Now back to the big balconies! All of them are positioned in these unique end units which wrap around and face out onto the gulf. These are magnificent not only because they provide a pelican's eye view of the spectacular scenery but because of their enormous size. The beachfront balconies are almost as big as an average back yard or even someone's home. They are like outdoor living rooms since there's plenty of space with chairs and tables for relaxing, drinking as well as dining al fresco while enjoying the breezy views. A portion of each balcony is partially covered for shade but most of the area is an open landscaped terrace that offers 180 degree panoramic views.  These units are sought after for entertaining since large groups of people can be easily accommodated.  They provide the perfect outdoor setting for special engagements, hallmark birthdays, anniversary celebrations, annual reunions and even corporate retreats. Ocean Reef Resorts has vacation rental residences featuring these bountiful balconies on the eleventh, twelfth and fourteenth floor. Each one of these luxurious vacation rentals has three bedrooms and three full baths with the ability to sleep up to eight fortunate guests.

Edgewater 1108 compliments the outdoor beauty of its balcony with stunning interior design. The open spacious floor plan is easily suitable for entertaining with gleaming richly colored marble flooring and one of the most amazing Gourmet kitchens. Sleek dark granite countertops wrap around European styled custom cabinetry throughout appointed with stainless steel appliances. A rich handsome built-in Wet Bar spans an entire wall beside the formal dining table that has six elegant chairs beneath a tiered sconce chandelier. The open living area has comfortable furnishings and a wall of glass doors leading to the balcony.

Edgewater 1207 is also an elegantly furnished residence with a large comfortable ultra suede couch that wraps around the open living area with views of the balcony. Decorative arts throughout are upscale and chic completed with a tropical nuance. A round glass topped dining table with six cushioned hand woven straw backed chairs sits beneath a multi-globed vintage chandelier. The open kitchen is flanked by a wide granite topped bar with a richly decorated base colored with marble in creams, mochas and black onyx. This expansive space is completed with state of the art appliances richly accented with warm custom cabinetry and decorative tile.

You will feel like you are in a private privileged suite on one of the top decks of a luxury ocean liner when you arrive at Edgewater 1405. Like the others this unit is toward the "bow" section with totally unobstructed views of the gulf and the tropical paradise below. Tasteful furnishings offer simultaneous comfort and elegance. The main living area has oversized light parchment toned travertine marble flooring that's nicely accented by two soft beige wrap around couches and a colorful throw rug. They face glass doors that lead out onto the big beautiful balcony. A round glass topped dining table comfortably seats six with high backed cloth chairs under a vintage chandelier. The spacious kitchen has blonde wood cabinetry, state of the art appliances and gleaming black granite counter tops.

If you are able to tear yourself away from your beloved beautiful big balcony overlooking paradise, you'll be happy to know that Edgewater's location is half way between Destin and South Walton's Scenic Highway 30A, providing the best entertainment options around. Popular beachfront restaurants are nearby on Scenic Gulf Drive. Championship golf and tennis are close by at Seascape where Ocean Reef guests receive special rates. Grocery stores, wine bars and the famed Silver Sands Premium Outlets are a minute away. Restaurants, lively bars, seasonal festivities, retail boutiques and family entertainment are close by at Grand Boulevard and Baytowne Wharf in nearby Sandestin. Enjoy!
