The Destin's Emerald Coast, with its jewel-toned waters and sugar-white sand beaches, is the perfect place to be for this kind of romantic liaison. Hold hands again as you walk down the beach feeling the warmth of the sun on your back while relishing the salty scent of the breezy air and the sensual sound of the surf. Westwinds
Your first condominium complex with a tiki bar is Westwinds, a luxurious high rise residential tower located at Sandestin. Westwinds and the other opulent towers stand in the distance, right on the beach with the shimmering waters behind them. Westwinds looks like a tanned curved box sandcastle of sorts and has full western exposures which offer guests dazzling sunset views. Westwinds has a seasonally heated, large lagoon pool surrounded by a lush forest of palm trees and a man-made creek that flows down from a majestic waterfall. There is also a bubbling hot tub where you may soak in serenity. The views of the gulf are impressive with several restaurants, retail shops and a large marina which harbors yachts. Fireworks, free live musical entertainment, seasonal festivals, art shows occur regularly at the Village of Baytowe Wharf. In addition, Sandestin's main town center Grand Boulevard is adjacent to Emerald Coast Parkway and has its own set of restaurants, a stadium movie theater, exciting galleries, and upscale boutiques. During the evenings it has a Palm Beach kind of look as visitors stroll from place to place past up lighted palms and dancing interactive fountains.
Edgewater
A short distance away near the juncture of the Emerald Coast Parkway and Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach, Ocean Reef offers another Destin condo with a tiki bar - Edgewater Beach Resort, which is truly an impressive sight to behold. The entire crescent shaped building curves around the tropical lagoon shaped swimming pools which are nestled beside it below. As you view this splendid structure from Scenic Highway 98, it looks like a giant luxury ocean liner has just docked at this particularly beautiful part of the beach. The design provides a spectacular image after nightfall since the decorative white lights glow around the curves of this "ship" on every tier. The resort grounds extend away from the building towards the powder white beach with expansive green lawns accented with clustered islands of tropical palms. A reflection pool contains multicolored Japanese Koi fish that leisurely glide below the surface. Two big lagoon-shaped, sparkling swimming pools sit side by side on two different levels. Here you are poolside and beachside at the same time. Both of them are literally right next to the beach so that you can enjoy pool action and the shimmering Gulf of Mexico simultaneously. One of the pools has a refreshing waterfall, which is particularly enjoyable on a hot, sunny day. The other pool is heated for use during the cooler times of the year. An arc of lounge chairs frames the side terrace, usually pointing towards the sun. There is also a simmering hot tub for further relaxation. The Gulf-front boundary of this lush oasis extends east to west with over 420 linear feet of shore providing an expansive unobstructed view of the shimmering emerald-hued waters. Numerous water sports are offered for excitement, which includes activities like parasailing, jet skiing, and surfing. Here will also find your tasty frozen cocktails along with fresh fish sandwiches, burgers and yummy munchies at the Tiki Hut Bar and Grill which is conveniently located next to one of the pools beside the beach.
Silver Shells
If you want to be closer to all the activities offered in central Destin, you may want to check out the sensational Silver Shells Beach Resort.
