Construction is well underway at the Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach for a new town center that will feature restaurants, bars, boutiques and venues for family amusements. Seascape is already well known amongst many of our Ocean Reef Resorts guests who have had the privilege to stay at vacation rental properties located in the condominium towers of Majestic Sun, Ariel Dunes I and Ariel Dunes II. These magnificent structures overlook the glistening gulf and are quite iconic in their own right. Majestic Sun resembles a giant manmade sandcastle while the dual towers of Ariel Dunes look like something you might see in Las Vegas. The Majestic Sun has a giant arch that goes all the way through the center of the interconnected towers with a giant indoor swimming pool underneath. The towers of Ariel Dunes have 23,000 square feet of sparkling pools that span across their base. The resort grounds encompass 300 acres spanning across from the Emerald Coast Parkway over to Scenic Gulf Drive where the shimmering sugary shoreline extends 2,000 linear feet across the front. Besides the bright beautiful beach Seascape features an exotic coastal dune lake, a lagoon laced eighteen hole championship golf course and a professional tennis center where Ocean Reef guests receive special reduced rates. Now residents and guests will never have to leave the resort in search of wonderful dining establishments, lively bars and shopping thanks to this new town center which will soon too become a popular destination.

Taking Sandestin's lead, the Seascape Towne Center will be a smaller version of the Village of Baytowne Wharf, which has become a major attraction since it opened there almost twenty years ago. This center will include almost 60,000 square feet of total space and will be lushly landscaped with a long lovely lagoon bordering the side of the partially forested golf course. The architectural design will have a distinctively upscale look with beautiful polished stucco exteriors. Five separate buildings will be spread across the center with outdoor decks and interconnected waterfront boardwalks overlooking the grounds. An outdoor events plaza is underway for planned musical concerts and seasonal festivities. There will also be a special playground for kids of all ages which will feature a zip line, a rope tower obstacle course, remote controlled boats on the lagoon and a golf chipping section. There will also be a laser tag and arcade for fun. A large full service Tiki Bar will be beside the water beside the amusements. A wide assortment of restaurants featuring both fine and family dining are to be included. A specialty grocery store will have an assortment of wines, cheese and deli items while also including regular kitchen meal necessities. Several unique specialty clothing stores and boutiques will include items for men, women as well as children. The overall plan of this town center is to make it possible for Seascape guests to never have cause to leave the grounds of the resort - if so desired. However it will have easy accessible to the general public since it will be adjacent to Emerald Coast Parkway. The diverse mix of tenants is to appeal to people of all ages with activities available for adults and children no matter what your dining or shopping preferences may be. Five of the most recent tenants to be announced include Acme Oyster House, Moo La-La Ice Cream and Fudge Company, Thrills Laser Tag and Arcade, Aerial Entertainment as well as 2 Birds.

Acme Oyster House is the venerated restaurant originally from New Orleans. They have been in the Destin area for fifteen years with a popular location at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. They are known of course for their oysters but also have a wide array of other delicious New Orleans inspired seafood.

Moo-La-La Ice Cream and Fudge Company features twenty-four different flavors of ice cream, specialty sundaes and shakes. Fresh waffle cones are made daily and can come with assorted chocolate toppings. They were voted "Best Sweet Treats in Destin" after they opened at their first location. They also make their own fudge from a 52 year old recipe which is nationally known and named as one of the "Top Five Best Fudges in the U.S."

The Thrills Laser Tag and Arcade will provide a unique one of a kind experience in a 3,500 square foot arena that will be on two different levels which can accommodate up to twenty-four players per game. It is being billed to become one of the most interactive and immersive arenas in the nation. Multiple game formats will include Zombies, Capture the Flag, Gladiator and many more. The arcade portion will include seventy different play stations all with the latest state of the arts equipment and a very large redemption center for earned prizes. There are plans to host special birthday parties, company events and groups of friends.

Aerial Entertainment will be located near the Outdoor Events Plaza. A tower is planned to be the largest in the area which will feature a nine pole linear rope course on different levels along with a special rope climbing feature called "The Stairway to Heaven." Aerial Entertainment will also include the "hole in one" golf chipping challenge with prizes. The remote control boats will be part of their entertainment with life sized steering station next to the lagoon.

2 Birds (sister cafe of Birdie's Coffee + Stuff) will serve various great coffee brews from New Orleans and assorted teas. Their best selling coffee called French Truck is what makes 2 Birds really stand out. Coffee syrups include homemade chocolate, vanilla and caramel. This location will offer breakfast and lunch with counter service, so you can dine in or take your meal to go! Enjoy pastries and breakfast bowls in the morning and return for delicious sandwiches in the afternoon.
