To start the festivities, join us for a vibrant Arty Kick-Off Party on Friday, October 25th, at the stunning Henderson Beach Resort on their Grand Piazza Terrace. Beginning at 6 PM, guests will enjoy live performances by Coconut Radio, America's Caribbean Jam Band, and live watercolor demonstrations by special guest artist Melanie Moore. National artists will also be in attendance, enjoying complimentary entry with a guest. Tickets are $50, including two drink tickets and the opportunity to mingle with these talented artists. Experience a Spectacular Display of Art

Once the festival begins, over 100 talented artists from across the nation will showcase their finest works, competing for $12,000 in prizes. Awards will include Best in Show, People's Choice, Awards of Excellence, Merit, and Judge's Recognition, with winners announced based on both public votes and the judges' evaluations. Stroll through 112 open-air tents brimming with original creations—jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodwork, photography, paintings, and more. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite piece for the People's Choice Award and perhaps even take home a masterpiece!

This isn’t just an art show—it’s a full-fledged celebration! Live music from local bands will fill the air as you explore the exhibits. Satisfy your taste buds at the Cuisine on the Green food truck or unwind in the Beer & Wine Garden with a refreshing drink. Visit the Collaborative Arts Tent for artist demos, let the kids get creative in the Kids Tent, and enjoy watching street performers entertain the crowd. Meet the 2024 Poster Artist: Kelly Pierre

While exploring the Festival of the Arts, don’t miss the chance to see the winning artwork by Kelly Pierre, a Louisiana native and Santa Rosa Beach local. His stunning painting, “Transcendent”, featuring an octopus in calming sea hues, will be displayed prominently throughout the event. Stop by to admire Pierre's work and maybe even meet the artist himself, as he shares his passion for marine life and the Gulf Coast’s beauty. Pierre’s vibrant art reflects the local culture, and you’ll find his studio right here in Destin at HarborWalk Village.

Founded in 1995, the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) is dedicated to inspiring creativity and enriching the community through the arts.

Beyond the festival, MKAF hosts the popular Concerts in the Village series at the Dugas Music Pavilion throughout the spring and summer. These outdoor concerts feature performances by symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, and tribute bands, making them a local favorite.
