Gulfstrand Down

This vacation residence is part of a duplex that has one "up" and one "down." Each unit has three bedrooms and accommodates nine guests, making it possible to have a big beach reunion all in separate quarters. It is located in the charming village center of Grayton Beach. This locale is very close to the beautiful beach, the jeweled waters of the gulf and has plenty of delightful diversions nearby.  

The sugary shoreline and luminescent waters of the gulf adjoin Grayton Beach State Park. Forbes Magazine recently reported it was one of the most beautiful beaches in America after a nationwide study. Western Lake borders the village and is a precious treasure. This coastal dune lake is a rare natural phenomenon, found in very few places on Earth. These brackish lakes provide a habitat for abundant wildlife including loads of fish, fowl and native plants. Besides lounging on the beach and floating around in the gulf, you can catch fish or explore the lake on a kayak. You are right across the street from a 30' x 24 community pool.  The patio is adorned with palms to provide a relaxing poolside setting.

Recent renovations in Gulfstrand Down include fresh interior paint, remodeled bathrooms, new kitchen appliances, custom cabinetry and granite countertops.  It features new living room furniture as well as comfortable bedding along with TV's in the living area and master bedroom. A wide covered veranda that overlooks the village street, the community pool, and the distant gulf. A picnic table allows you to sip drinks and munch on tasty snacks while enjoying the breezy views. The bright open living area has a light gray couch that doubles as a queen sized sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress and a love seat. A large wall-mounted TV sits above a beachy side accent table. A white picnic dining table near the open kitchen has six light blue wooden chairs with crisscross decorative backs for fun casual meals.  Three vintage modern plastic stools saddle up to mottled malt tone granite-topped bar where favorite drinks and savory snacks may be easily served. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances for creating culinary delights.

Two cottage styled Guest Rooms share a full hall bath with a twin and full sized bed in one and a queen in the other. They each have access to a sunny deck. The Master Bedroom has two bright windows, a charming queen-sized bed, and en-suite bath.   
 
The Grayton Beach village center is a short stroll away and features a unique decorative arts center and two restaurants. The Zoo Gallery features vibrant decorative pieces from select artisans nationwide. Chiringo serves Spanish style tapas and drinks. The famous Red Bar where celebrities are sometimes seen provides excellent dining and tropical drinks with live music. Picturesque coastal villages along South Walton's Scenic 30A places you minutes away from a wide array of other restaurants, friendly beach bars, specialty shops, concerts and seasonal festivals.

The community pool is typically heated during fall, holiday weeks, and spring break, but is based on the daily temperature and HOA discretion.
