Our team knows it well. Members of Ocean Reef Resorts have attended everything from elegant wine dinners and the lively Tapas & Tequila night to the crowd-pleasing Bourbon, Beer & Butts (a few of our real estate agents haven’t missed a single one). The Grand Tasting is always a highlight, and the Gospel Brunch closes the weekend out on the highest note.

When the town of Seaside was founded in 1981, it set the stage for a coastal community like no other. Just a year later, Ocean Reef Resorts was established—and we’ve had the privilege of watching both Seaside and the Seeing Red Wine Festival blossom together.

Held each November, this annual 30A wine event has become one of the longest-running and most celebrated in the Southeast. For four days, Seaside’s charming streets transform into vibrant festival grounds. Featuring more than 600 wines, artisanal cocktails, celebrity winemakers, chef-driven bites, and educational seminars, it has become one of the Emerald Coast’s most celebrated spring events. Live music sets the tone as guests stroll through tasting tents and savor gourmet pairings.

One of the highlights of the weekend is the Destin Charity Wine Auction, a Super VIP event that raises millions for local charities each year. The foundation does incredible work in our community, supporting children in need and making a lasting impact along the Emerald Coast.

Seaside Half Marathon & 5K

Each March, the Seaside Half Marathon & 5K brings thousands of runners to Scenic 30A, winding their way along the Gulf as their backdrop. Known for its flat, fast course and postcard-worthy scenery, the race draws athletes from across the country and sells out year after year. Beyond the medals and miles, it also supports the Seaside Neighborhood School, a pioneering public charter school at the heart of this vibrant community.

At Ocean Reef Resorts, our connection to this race runs deep. Over the years, we’ve contributed silent auction prizes, had team members volunteer at the course, and even served on a marketing advisory board. Some of our staff are proud graduates of Seaside Neighborhood School, while others are parents of students currently enrolled.
