Although Ocean Reef Resorts represents many fine distinctive vacation rentals in Destin that have swimming pools, very few have an indoor pool. These are quite popular and in high demand especially during the chillier winter months and on that occasional rainy day here in the "Sunshine State." Here are three wonderful resort properties we have available that do indeed have indoor swimming pools in addition to another one outside. They include the Majestic Sun in Miramar Beach along with Sundestin and Pelican Beach Resort in Destin itself.
Indoor Pool at Majestic Sun
The Majestic Sun is located on Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach just east of Destin. This luxurious high rise condominium tower looks like a giant sandcastle next to the beach with a soaring arch in between both sides of the building offering unobstructed views of the glistening gulf. Ocean Reef Resorts is pleased to offer a number of one, two, three and five bedroom vacation rentals here complete with full kitchens as well as open dining/living room areas. All of them have beach facing balconies to enjoy the views of the emerald hued waters and the wide white ribbon of sandy beach parallels the front. Under the spectacular arch is an indoor swimming pool with a three story tall cathedral ceiling and a huge wall of glass overlooking the beautiful beach beyond. You may swim outside from the seasonally heated indoor pool to where it cascades down into the outdoor pool below. Outdoors you will find an expansive adjoining patio for sunning poolside while overlooking the gorgeous gulf with views extending as far as you can see. These same vistas may be seen from the indoor pool as well thanks to the wall of glass windows. There are also two bubbling hot tubs on the outdoor deck where you may soothe your cares away. The beach has water sports available as well as a concierge service for umbrella rentals and chairs, but feel free to bring your own. On the other side of the Majestic Sun there is Seascape Golf Club which comprises a sprawling championship 18 hole golf course. It is set amidst large fresh water lagoons, some of which have long bridges with gazebos and distant views of the Gulf. There are also eight tennis courts, nature trails and bike rentals available. A state of the arts fitness facility is also at the Majestic Sun with weights and aerobic machines. Indoor Pool at Pelican Beach Resort
With a beachfront position on the shores of the Emerald Coast in Destin, Pelican Beach Resort is a sought-after vacation spot for more reasons than one. Not only does the high-rise condo complex boast unparalleled views of the glittering Gulf from every floor, it also provides guests with a number of amenities that help make a beach vacation the best it can be. In addition to its tennis courts, on-site exercise center, and arcade room, the resort has multiple pools, including an indoor pool that connects to one of the outdoor pools. The indoor pool is surrounded by glass walls and allows ample sunlight into the room, creating an open area for a relaxing swim. A glass partition connects to the outdoor pool, so swimmers can move easily between the two. The condo's other pools include one with a tropical patio that overlooks the Gulf, one that is kid-friendly, and another that sits on a raised terrace and looks out over the lagoon. Another indoor swimming pool can be found at SunDestin which is a popular Ocean Reef Resorts destination due to its beachfront location right in the heart of Destin. A myriad of restaurants, friendly bars and family amusements are nearby including Big Kahuna's Water Park where Ocean Reef Resorts guests receive special discounts. The bustling Destin Marina and Harborwalk Village offer a host of delightful diversions which are just minutes away. The indoor pool has a large lounging area beside it as well as three walls of glass windows that overlook the outdoor pool and gleaming gulf waters. It is right off the main lobby of this hotel-like condominium tower which also features a full Fitness Center with sauna and steam rooms. During that occasional inclement weather day the kids will love to be entertained by both the indoor pool as well as the adjacent Video Arcade. There is also a restaurant on site in case you want the convenience of dining in. Outdoors is another beachfront pool with a patio for soaking up the sun as well as Shuffle Board Courts for fun nostalgic play. A five sided hot tub sits nearby overlooking the gorgeous gulf.
