Life is better barefoot, on the beach, and soaking up the sun! That's because the beach is pretty amazing. Besides being a perfect getaway for salty hearts, it also offers inspiration to artists of all types. This comes as no surprise, as frothy waves and sandy toes seem to ease the soul, no matter who you are! Musicians especially love to serenade their audiences with songs about sunshine, tan lines, and smooth tides. This is because the beach equals paradise. It's the place where you can let all your worries wash away and forget your troubles, responsibilities, worries. All you need to do at the beach is smile and watch the waves roll in.

As beach lovers, we're a fan of all musicians whose happy place is somewhere where there's sand, saltwater, and sunshine. We've got Blake Shelton, who sings, "There's a big umbrella casting shade over an empty chair. Palm trees are growing, and warm breezes blowing. I picture myself right there. On some beach, somewhere." The Zac Brown Band has multiple hits referencing the beauty of a tropical oasis, including "Knee Deep," "Toes," and "Island Song." Jake Owen gets in the beachin' mood by singing, "And it's sunshine, blue eyes, tan lines, slow tide. Rollin' white sand, cold can koozie in my hand, just a summertime strolling." And of course, there is the always classic Beach Boys, who sing about "Surfin' USA" and "Kokomo" beach. We could go on, but you get the picture!

Another one of our favorite country singers, Jason Aldean, recently released the music video for his hit song "Got What I Got," and it is fire! The video not only lets his audience catch a glimpse of his personal life with his sweet family, but it also shares some great shots of Destin during their quarantine at their beach home. Which means we get to see some amazing Emerald Coast views while jamming to an awesome song!

The video opens with a cute moment of Jason's kids Navy and Memphis right before bedtime. Then, Aldean and his wife Brittany appear, getting ready for a romantic at-home date night on their front porch. The music starts, and we get snippets of Aldean singing on the beach with his guitar mixed with Aldean and Brittany enjoying their evening together, as well as moments with the family having a fun time together on the beach.

The song's lyrics paired with the beach and family shots make a loveable and relatable video. We especially love hearing the words, "When I got what I got I don't miss what I had," while the video pans beautiful Destin scenery, complete with crystal white sands and jewel-like waves. Because when you've got your family and you've got the beach, what could you possibly miss about your life before that? Those two things are life's "happiness" ingredients!

Aldean's music video goes on to show drone captures of the sweeping Gulf Coast vistas. Blue-green waves gently roll, greeting the smooth sand that glistens under the northwest Florida sun. A bird's-eye view of a pier shows the pristine coast in all its glory. The cute couple is all smiles as they take a barefoot stroll along the water, and the family laughs as they play on the beach. They splash in the emerald waves. Navy says hi to the camera, and Memphis shuffles his feet in the sand. Aldean and Brittany relax with one another on an outdoor swing in the snow-white sand. What better way to make memories than with this perfect Destin Gulf Coast paradise in the background?

Other great scenes are captured while Aldean and Brittany cruise along the scenic highway in a red Bronco, taking it all in and basking in each other's company. Cuts are made to some well-known Destin landmarks. We see the unique sand dunes, East Pass, and the Henderson Park Inn. We even catch sight of the "Welcome to Destin" sign, which welcomes visitors to the world's luckiest fishing village.

Through this music video, we get to see Destin through the eyes of a family who loves this beautiful oasis. It's fun to see the Aldeans creating fun family memories on the Emerald Coast because it's something we can all relate to. The mix of lyrics, personal moments, and coastal captures is the perfect way to show off what Destin is all about!
