Can you believe it is already almost 2019? It seems like only yesterday we were watching fireworks explode over the Gulf and making our 2018 New Year’s resolutions. Time sure flies down here on the coast.

In all seriousness, we love bringing in each new year. It is the perfect time to reflect on the past year’s memories, reminisce about fun experiences, and celebrate old friendships, while also looking forward to everything the new year will bring. 2019 promises to be a great one, as we make (and try to keep) our New Year’s resolutions, build new friendships, and make new memories.

And what better place to ring in the New Year than right here on the Emerald Coast? Locals and visitors alike will find all of 30A excitedly counting down to the end of 2018, so be sure to join in the fun!

Seaside New Years Eve

3, 2, 1! Each year, Seaside hosts its family-friendly Countdown Seaside event to fondly bid farewell to the old and say “hello” to the new. This New Year’s Eve party includes live music, activities for the kids and family, and fireworks at midnight. This year’s featured bands include the Alvarez Kings and Wild Adriatic. Kids will love the face painting and crafts that are hosted by Abrakadoodle Art Education and Parties. Starting at 7pm on December 31 and ending at 12:30am on January 1, this is a fabulous way to welcome the New Year.

New Year’s Eve Party at Old Florida Fish House

Dinner and a show – not a bad way to end one year and start a new one! The Old Florida Fish House in Seagrove Beach begins its celebrations a little earlier than most. On the Eve of New Year’s Eve, True Soul will perform. New Year celebrations begin again the next day at 8pm, where the Forrest Williams Band will take the stage for a last 2018 hurrah. Be sure to make reservations to reserve your spot. Good food, good drinks, and good music. Let’s leave 2018 with a bang!

New Year’s Bash at Pescado

How would you like to spend your last hours of 2018 looking at the beach? We are right there with you! The rooftop of Pescado overlooks Rosemary Beach, and there will a crowd of beach-lovers gathered here to ring in the New Year. A four-course meal will be offered be offered between 5pm and 9pm on December 31, and watching fireworks over the Gulf will be well worth it. Besides, who could say no to a complimentary glass of champagne at midnight? Be sure to make your reservations soon, as it will likely fill up fast. This event is for people 18 and up.

Salute 2018 at NEAT

We are looking forward to a neat 2019! The NEAT Tasting Room and Bottle Shop in Alys Beach is hosting a Salute 2018 event before enjoying the fireworks along 30A. This event runs from 5pm to 7pm on New Year’s Eve. It will include live music by Dannica Lowery, and will also provide light meal options and cocktails for purchase. So, that’s pretty neat!

While this spectacular event at the Village of Baytowne Wharf is not on 30A, it is located in nearby Miramar Beach, and is definitely worth mentioning. This family friendly end-of-year celebration includes face painting, kids’ activities, live music, and fireworks. Celebrations start at 6pm on New Year’s Eve, and the partying will continue until 1am on January 1. This is the proper way to send 2018 packing, and cheering on the best to come in 2019!

If these options do not interest you, it is always fun to find a spot on the beach to enjoy your favorite company, picnic food and drinks, and a fireworks display.
