Every morning when on vacation we all wake up and come face to face with the biggest dilemma ever. It isn’t supposed to be like this; vacation is supposed to be stress-free! This shouldn’t be a situation we have to deal with while trying to rest and relax with friends and family at the beach. But, it happens to the best of us, and it happens every day. You have a peaceful slumber in a comfortable bed and wake up greeted by sunshine and a huge smack in the face- Where should we get breakfast?
Let us help solve your problem. We've rounded out our top five picks for the best breakfast along 30A based off of what you are in the mood for.
63 Somerset Street, Alys Beach, FL 32461
Charlie’s Donuts in Alys Beach has created a must-try experience in the sugary and delicious breakfast food department. Owned and operated by a disabled veteran, the popular donut truck is a beloved favorite of locals and visitors alike. The 1920’s-style donuts and mouthwatering pastries are “made the old-fashioned way” fresh each day. The donuts are larger than Krispy Kreme donuts (some weighing nearly three times as much!) and are so much tastier! Staple flavors include coconut cream, maple and maple bacon, red velvet cake, and chocolate glaze. Charlie’s Donut Truck opens at 6:30 am and serves donuts until they’re sold out, so be sure to stop by the colorful, Sunbeam-turned-food truck early, so you don’t miss out! You can also grab Charlie’s famous donuts at other locations on 30A, including Peddlar’s Pavilion and Blue Mountain Beach Creamery Shake Shop.

The bakery window always varies, but common finds include warm cinnamon rolls the size of your head, asiago cheese bagels, chocolate almond croissants, and seasonal scones. BEST TRADITIONAL SPREAD
Big Bad Breakfast
10711 E County Hwy 30A, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
Located in Inlet Beach, Big Bad Breakfast sits under the Pointe and is a breakfast concept idealized by James Beard award-winning chef John Currence. Featuring scrambles, pancakes, french toast, chicken and waffles, and more - Big Bad Breakfast offers a traditional breakfast menu that also incorporates gulf seafood into the mix. The fried oyster scramble, low country skillet featuring andouille sausage and shrimp, and crab Louis omelet stuffed with lump crab meat are just some of this joints most unique dishes. They also have the best biscuits and homemade jam on 30A- we recommend the peach or blueberry, or even a little bit of both mixed together- you’re on vacation, after all, it’s okay to live a little!
74 Town Hall Rd #4B, Rosemary Beach, FL 32461
High above the cobblestone streets of idyllic Rosemary Beach is the picturesque and elegant Pescado. This seafood grill and rooftop bar opened recently but has already become one of 30A’s hotspots and most coveted restaurants to be seen at. Brunch is offered on Sundays from 10:00am to 2:00pm and features a dreamy menu and an impressive list of cocktails. As the age old saying goes, brunch without alcohol is just a sad breakfast. Start with a “Weekend Stroll,” a cocktail featuring grapefruit juice, St Germain and Dibon Brut Cava. If you like a sweeter start to the day try the challah french toast as it is crusted in graham cracker and topped with poached pear and amaretto mascarpone. If you prefer a savory breakfast, options include lobster grilled cheese, duck confit hash with a sunny side egg, and chicken and waffles. Are you drooling yet?
