Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade

A Star-Spangled Tradition in the Heart of Grayton Beach

Posted on 6/27/2025By the Ocean Reef Editorial Team

There are parades—and then there's the Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade. This quirky, come-as-you-are community celebration is a beloved local tradition, and it's unlike anything else along Scenic 30A. In fact, it's the only full-fledged Independence Day parade still happening on 30A.

Set between towering pines, rare Coastal Dune Lakes, and the shimmering Gulf of America, Grayton Beach is one of the area's most iconic beach towns. Known for its funky art galleries, laid-back vibe, and historic beach cottages, this small but spirited community has been marching to the beat of its own drum since the late 1800s—and that character shines brightest at the 4th of July Parade in Grayton Beach.

If you're lucky enough to be in town on July 4th, 2025, here's everything you need to know about Grayton Beach's iconic red, white, and funky procession.

When & Where

The Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade kicks off Friday, July 4th at 8:30 AM sharp. Parade participants must line up by 8:00 AM at the corner of Magnolia Street and DeFuniak Street in the heart of Grayton Beach. This casual neighborhood route winds through the historic village, past quirky beach cottages, Chiringo, The Zoo Gallery, and the famous Red Bar, then loops up past Ocean Reef Resorts’ local vacation rental and real estate office before finishing near AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar.

Who Can Join the Parade?

Everyone. Seriously. Locals, visitors, kids, dogs—even decorated paddleboards are welcome. Dress up your golf cart, bicycle, scooter, truck, or even yourself in stars and stripes and jump right in. No registration is required—just show up and get festive.

What to Bring

  • Patriotic spirit (and flair!)
  • Red, white, and blue decorations for your ride or outfit
  • Sunscreen, water, and maybe a few beach chairs to relax afterward
  • A camera or phone to capture the hilarity

What Makes the Grayton Beach July 4th Parade So Special?

Grayton Beach doesn’t just throw a parade—it throws a parade with personality. You’ll see everything from vintage cars to costumed dogs to makeshift floats made from kayaks and coolers. The route is lined with guests waving from porches, balconies, and lawns—many of them staying in Ocean Reef vacation homes that sit right along the route, offering front-row seats to the festivities.

Ocean Reef Resorts is proud to be part of this tradition. Our local office at 15 Pine Street will be open during the parade, offering cold refreshments and goodies to guests and parade-goers alike. Stop in to say hi or cool off in the A/C while the fun marches on.

“It’s the kind of parade where a kayak can be a float, and your front porch is the VIP section.”

Other 30A Independence Day Events

Once the Grayton Beach parade winds down, the celebration continues just a short bike ride away. Seaside’s annual July 4th Block Party offers a full day of family fun and festivities in the heart of town.
