Toes in the Sand

This old Florida-styled two-story vacation home is only two minutes away from placing your "toes in the sand" in Destin's premier community of Crystal Beach. It has two levels of verandas overlooking palm trees out front and a guest house beside a lovely 21x11 private swimming pool out back. It provides a perfect place for beach reunions with family and friends since it accommodates up to sixteen guests. A dozen members of your group can sleep in the main house and four more in the lovely poolside guest house.

Double glass doors lead from the front porch into the main house of Toes in the Sand, which has a bright open living, dining, and kitchen area. Light parchment-toned tile flooring and multiple windows accentuate a spacious look. Cheerful pistachio-colored walls with creamy white wainscot bottoms are accented by a royal blue couch and two armchairs adorned with colorful pillows. A large flatscreen TV on a cornered side table offers entertainment. The dining area nearby has a rectangular contemporary glass-topped hardwood table flanked by eight fashionable vintage modern chairs. Four more may be seated on matching square-topped metal stools beside a bar facing the ample white kitchen. A guest bedroom on this level has white cottage-styled furnishings with a queen size bed and has access to a full hall bath with a tub-shower combination. 

The spacious primary bedroom upstairs has coastal-styled furnishings, which include a king-size bed with a shuttered headboard, a vibrantly striped armchair, and a glass door leading out to a private balcony with chairs where you may enjoy the gulf breezes. An ensuite bath features a creamy white double vanity sink cabinet, a glass-walled walk-in shower, and a soothing soaking tub. This level includes another guest bedroom with a queen size bed flanked by two queen/twin bunk beds and an ensuite bath with a tub-shower combination.

The guest house beside the swimming pool has a living area with a light green queen-size sleeper sofa, a colorfully striped armchair, a flatscreen TV, and a convenient kitchenette. The bedroom features white cottage-styled furnishings with a king-size bed beside sliding glass doors leading to the pool. A hall bath includes a tub-shower combination.

This Crystal Beach location is close to popular gulf front restaurants, friendly beach bars, and grocery stores. It is only a few blocks away from the idyllic shopping village of Destin Commons. This captivating European-styled retail village features pedestrian-friendly avenues lined with royal palm trees, a classic fountain, and a geyser fountain where kids can enjoy refreshing fun on a hot summer day. It is complete with fine clothiers, fashion boutiques, specialty shops, restaurants with casual bars, and a state-of-the-art AMC Multiplex Theater. It is anchored by a giant Bass Pro Shop at one end and a Belk's Department Store at the other. This convenient central point near the Emerald Coast Parkway is an equidistance away from all the happenings at Destin's crown jewel of HarborWalk Village towards the west and the enchanting Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Resort towards the east. Each popular destination offers a wide array of great restaurants, bars with live music, family amusements, outdoor concerts, fun festivals throughout the year, and exciting seasonal firework extravaganzas.
