This charming two bedroom vacation cottage has a fantastic location in Santa Rosa Beach on Emerald Dunes Circle, just a short three and a half minute stroll from the sugary shoreline. However, you don't even have to go that far to take a delightful plunge since a large seasonally heated freshwater community pool with a spacious sun deck is just 20 yards away. This rental home is nestled away in a lovely residential neighborhood south of Scenic 30A on a quaint circle drive adorned with towering palms but is just minutes away from restaurants, friendly bars, and specialty shops.

Up to eight happy beach-going guests may reside at Key Lime Cottage since there is a king sized bed in the Master Suite, a queen bunk in the Guest bedroom and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living area. Both the Master Bedroom and Guest Room include full private en-suite baths upstairs on the second floor while a half bath is available as a convenient powder room on the first-floor level.

A paver tiled drive that holds two cars is flanked by towering palm trees and faces this stately Old Florida styled residence. A spindle columned veranda spans the house downstairs while a matching covered balcony rises above it. The glass front entry leads into a sunny parchment tiled open living area that includes a plush blue couch and coco-colored armchair. This comfortable seating ensemble faces a white armoire which houses an entertainment system with a stereo along with a TV. This hospitable home also includes a TV in each bedroom. A rectangular country hardwood dining table with six navy spindle-backed cottage chairs is centered upon a bright bay window and sits beneath an elegant light fixture. The newly remodeled open kitchen nearby has a warm ambiance with white custom cabinetry, a richly tiled accent splash wall, stainless steel appliances, cream-colored granite countertops and a bar with three wooden stools where drinks or snacks may be easily served. It has everything you need to create a fun family meal on those evenings when you decide to dine in. A gas grill is located right outside the back door that is available for cookouts.

The spacious serene Master Bedroom with an en-suite bath also includes its own private balcony, a king sized bed with a colorful floral patterned spread, bed stands with table lamps, a large double closet and a flat screen TV. The Guest Bedroom has a brightly attired queen sized bunk bed with white framing, its own en-suite private bath, and access to a covered balcony.

This great South Walton location is within walking distance to a well established popular seafood restaurant called "Goatfeathers." They also have a market that sells freshly caught fish and shrimp from the gulf so you may be tempted to take some back to the cottage to have them grilled. Gulf Place is also just minutes away with several restaurants, a bistro, boutiques, galleries, seasonal festivals, and musical concerts.

First Floor: Living Room with Queen Sleeper Sofa, Kitchen, Dining Room, Powder Room, Laundry.

Second Floor: King Master Bedroom with Balcony Access and Full Bath, Queen Bunk Room with Balcony Access and Full Bath.

Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated during Thanksgiving and Spring Break.

My family and I had an amazing summer escape that went beyond our expectations! Unfortunately, my dad accidentally left his laptop, and I got hold of Ocean Reef's exceptional service team, which sent out a lost and found form and shipped it out the next day. Renting a home from Airbnb could not get any easier with Ocean Reef's amazing service team, which was just a phone call away to assist with so much. Everything was clean, the beach is two blocks away, and there are two eateries around the corner, so we couldn't have asked for a better location. Everything was equipped with the basics, but we brought our own seasoning, so be mindful that you bring your own cooking oils/butters as well. Such an amazing time, with no complaints. Oh, the best surprise was that the bunk beds were full! close to being a Queen-size bunk bed!!

Nice stay!!!
We visit Santa Rosa Beach every summer, but this is the first time we have got a house feeling that everything was super clean. Few steps to the beach. Pool is right behind the house, but with enough distance to avoid noise. Walking distance to restaurants, bike rentals, shops, etc. The house has everything you need, maybe update the pots in the kitchen and don’t forget to bring beach towels. Bunk beds in 2nd room are bigger than the in the picture so our teenagers slept like in home. Nice beach house to come back!!!

Is the beach access private for the community or open to the public?

Answer:

Key Lime Cottage utilizes the public neighborhood beach access at the end of Gulfview Heights Street. The Gulfview Heights Regional Beach Access includes parking, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, and lifeguards on duty during peak times of the year. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Would you allow a 6 year old golden retreiver?

We love our dogs here at Ocean Reef, however - Key Lime Cottage is a non-pet-friendly home. If you are unable to board your pup, you may want to consider one of these Pet Friendly Rentals.

Are rental golf carts allowed in this neighborhood?

Yes! In fact, you can rent a golf cart at a discounted rate through one of our preferred vendors! Golf carts are only permitted in speed limit zones of 35 MPH or less, and each golf cart rental will take the place of one vehicle parking space. Enjoy the ride!
